How do YOU believe the end-times will happen?

I'm hoping to make a big movie on this subject in future.... which is waaaay away

End of the world i believe...

1. Would take place in a time of world peace and when the world is united. It's when we least suspect it .

2. Then it may escalate into a war not between countries but believers. I have a feeling it may be a subtle effect. It might start off with posters, falsified media eventually getting to the president or something.

3. End of the world at this time may have the entire world united in such a fashion it is nearly perfect. Law is solid, no murders. Possibly reason that if someone were to disrupt it which could include believing they would be courted.

4. End of the world i believe would be extremely subtle. Not so to the point when you can't tell the difference between it starting but in the sense that as it progresses, it would be very subtle, very small changes on the way.

5. People will be unified into the worldly law and order.

6. Big booms from meteorites and earthquakes etc. Lots of war and death.


This really isn't important. We need to see people's souls saved.

I guess I'm not "down" with all of these terms. What is preterism?

This subject has always been vert interesting to me!
I personally believe it is going to come when the world is at peace.
when the one they call the antichrist stepps up and signs a world peace treaty. The world will be at calm with all other nations, then that is when the antichrist would demand all poeple to start to worship him and say that he is god. This is after he heals himself from a deathly wound. The world will be in amazement and will be brainwashed into thinking he is god because of the healing.
I believe we will be forced into his mark to buy sell or trade for food. i thin that if we do not get the mark that the will kill us because he do not beleve that the antichrist is god and that we still worship and adore the one true GOD!
I elieve it is going to be a real trying of our faith and that we must prepare ourselves now for the horrible times thatare to come!
Poeple differ on the time tey believe JESUS is coming back but i thnk the most important thing is to be ready because we do not know the day or hour in which HE will return.

There may be diffrence idea of the way the end times will happen but i think we can all agree on it is coming [very soon] and that it wil be horrible!

Preterism is the position that everything that was written (all biblical prophecy) was fulfilled when Jesus said, i.e. Luke 21:22, at the destruction of the Jewish temple in A.D. 70

I believe the "end times" will be upon us when this poor old world has finaly had enough of mans stupidity and polution , bringing about a time never before seen in the history of the world .

Or as jesus himself said in Luke 21 :

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

I believe it will be at this time that the book of Revelation will come to life and will be seen for what it is , "A BOOK OF PROPHECY" relating to the time of the "END".

I personally believe that the AntiChrist is God's first judgement upon mankind. The AntiChrist will come at a time when the world is in chaos..financially, politically...He will come with a solution to all of the world's problems. He will bring a false peace to the earth solving many problems. Uniting the world with one government, one monetary system and one religion. He will bring a peace treaty to Israel that no one else has been able to. He will turn on the world and on Israel and demand that he be worshiped as God.

I believe that the world will be drawn into a final conflict. Jesus Christ comes back to earth at the point where mankind is just about ready to destroy itself.

Will it happen in my life time? I don't know. I watch and I pray. I thank God each day that He has held off judgement another day. I've studied propechy somewhat, one thing that struck me the most was how patient and longsuffering God is with mankind.

Boy you got that right Blynn... God has given mankind ample opportunities.

This is how it's going down

The world will be in chaos, nation against nation, that will start when Russia attacks Israel and we step in to defend her and then WW3 breaks out. Then the AntiChrist will create a treaty that will bring peace to all the nations, for a time. Then the AntiChrist will sit upon his throne (Ark of the Covenant) then Yahweh will give him his power to rule the world for 42 months, people will be mesmerized by him and believe his claims to be The Messiah and worship him and take his mark. if we do not take his mark (smart chip in left palm) then we cannot buy, sell or trade. Many will starve to death and many will be slaughtered for not taking the mark. (which I might add that prince charles and his sons were the first to have smart chips implanted in their left hands, "for security reasons")

I believe the world will go through a financial crisis. There will be a world depression that causes much suffering. I believe the nations of the world will be united without there being one nation that is above all. I believe that before this happends there will be famines and wars with perhaps one big war which causes a man to help bring about peace. He will become the leader of many of these nations and people will see him as a godsend in that he will solve many of the worlds problems including the financial break down as well as the  environmental state of the world. He will be a religious man and cause many of the worlds population to follow him.

I believe the Jewish people will believe him to be the Christ and he will solve the Jewish/Palestinian conflict and allow the Jews to rebuild their temple on the temple mount. This will be done through a peace treaty that when signed will start a 7 year period.

At the half way point in this 7 year period there will be war between Satan and his angels with Michael and his angels. Satan and his army will lose and will be cast down. Satan then will possess this man that has been leading the world. Up till this point this man has played the worlds saviour with all the answers for peace and trouble but he will now be Satan himself with all manner of anger and hatred. Playing the sore loser and wanting revenge he will become the newest world tyrant and the worse this world will ever see. He will perform the "Awful Horror" and will demand that all peoples worship him as god. Those that refuse he will have murdered. There will be great persecution.

There will be great turmoil in the middle east because of this centering on Jerusalem. In the very end certain nations will plan war on Israel and will mobilize. They will meet at Armegedon with intent to destroy Jerusalem but Jesus Christ will come in the clouds and destroy them. Jesus will then claim to be King of this world and will then set up his kingdom.

Just for fun, I will offer my views on this.

I believe the end times are here and now. And what we already see in the world (suicide bombing/terrorism) will increase and become a common way of life.
I believe that the USA will overthrow Iraq, and re-establish a new (democracy) government, with America holding the reins. We shall be in control of a large part of the middle east, (Iraq/Turkey) and this new prescence will become the Mystery babylon. The surrounding countries (seven heads of the beast in the M.E) will unite, therefore bringing forth the 200 million army against the new (USA Iraq). Violence and hatred will spill over, and nothing will be secure. Nothing will be safe. They will have it out to destroy the (harlot) and they will.
And while this is happening, other countries that have kept one another at arms length will throw in the towel, and fight. Wars here and there shall come randomly; bringing forth nuclear, biological and chemical war, throughout the world.
This shall cause the sun to darken, and other catastrophic events spoken of in the bible.
With so many issues on the worlds plate, the countries will turn inside out. Trust will disappear, and hate will rise among christians, among family members, among strangers.
It will be a time of me vs. you.
Whats mine is mine, and many shall fight to the death to hold on to what (material) is theirs. Here I believe is what jesus spoke of, when he said not to go back into the house, etc. mansy shall seek to save their lives, but shall lose it.
who knows? maybe the only way to keep ones property in those days, is to sign a anti-God agreement to the "new government", vowing and pledging loyalty in exchange for your home, for your family. That way the country knows what "side" you are on. If you disagree, you lose your home, your belongings, everything. Freedom would be lost.
I have noticed that the "mark" of loyalty/worship causes those who do not accept or agree to the terms, SHOULD be killed. (because they are now the enemy) It doesn't say that they are.

just some of my thoughts.

I don't know for sure when it will happen or what it will be like, but this sums up my belief on the subject:

Matthew 25

 "When I, the Messiah, shall come in glory, and all the angels with me, then I shall sit upon my throne of glory.  And all the nations shall be gathered before me.  And I will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and place the sheep at my right hand, and the goats at my left.
       Then I, the King, shall say to those at my right, "Come, blessed of my Father, into the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.   For I was hungry and you fed me;  I was thirsty and you gave me water;   I was a stranger and you invited me into your homes;   naked and you clothed me;   sick and in prison, and you visited me."
      Then these righteous ones will reply,  "Sir, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you?  Or thirsty and give you anything to drink?  Or a stranger, and help you?  Or naked, and clothe you?  When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?"  And I, the King, will tell them,  "When you did it to these my brothers you were doing it to me!"
      Then I will turn to those on my left and say,   "Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.   For I was hungry and you wouldn't feed me;   thirsty, and you wouldn't give me anything to drink;   a stranger, and you refused me hospitality;   naked, and you wouldn't clothe me;   sick, and in prison,  and you didn't visit me."

Great post Zorobabel. The odd thing to me is, there are many who give money to feed those people who Jesus refers to in Matthew 25, but they no more live a life dedicated to Christ than Saddam. That Scripture is but a piece of the puzzle. I don't think anyone will be in Heaven just from giving, but I have not met one regenerate person who is not a giving person. I have, however, met non-regenerate people who give for the wrong reasons.

Revelation 1:1  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

It seems contrary to the stated purpose of the Book of Revelation to limit it to teaching things ONLY about the "END".

(Yes, I know I'm three weeks late for the post, but I just joined last night   )

We live in the last days now.  It seems that Jesus is tarrying quite a bit because I have seen the signs of His coming ever since I started looking for them.

I believe we have seen many false prophets and false Christs in our lifetime, there have been wars and rumors of wars, there are earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, and there is much heresy and not a lot of truth being taught in our churches (that is my opinion and what I believe to be truth).  These things are what Jesus said would signal His return.

I believe that all we are waiting for now is the sun to go dark, the moon to turn to blood, the stars to fall from heaven, and the "powers of the heavens" (which I believe to mean angelic hosts) to be shaken.  Then all will see Him returning on the clouds of the sky and He will send His angels to gather up the true saints who are still left in the world.  Jesus said that these days, when we see these signs, would be the most difficult in history because there will be so much lawlessness that it won't be easy to be righteous anymore.  The very fact that He said He would shorten these days for the elect's sake proves that when the "Anti-Christ" we hear so much about (which I think is a spirit, not a singgle person) will not kill everyone who doesn't take the mark of the beast...because there will be saints to gather from the farthest part of heaven to the farthest part of earth.

All of this brings me to conclude that Jesus will bring these days to an end and all who have genuine faith in Him and are counted worthy to escape will be brought up into heaven.

All of these things can be found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.  God bless, peeps!
