THE RULE OF FAITH AND PRACTICE IS ALWAYS SCRIPTURE "ALONE"

For me this is not a very hard question to answer from the scriptures.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY SCRIPTURE OR WHAT IS SCRIPTURE?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 [16], ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION (God breathed) OF GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17], That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.

So scripture is God's words given to mankind that are profitable for for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. God gives us scripture so that we may be perfected and thoroughly furnished to all good works.

Now that we know what scripture is (God's spoken and recorded written Words given to us for our salvation), lets continue...

WHY IS SCRIPTURE THE ONLY RULE OF FAITH?

Romans 10:17 So then FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

Scripture is the only rule of faith because it is through the scriptures that we receive faith. Our faith comes as we believe and follow what God's Word says (James 2:17-26).

Hebrews 11:6 [6], But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Romans 14:23 Whatsoever is not of faith is sin..

Ephesians 2:8-9 [8], For by grace are you saved THROUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:[9], Not of works, lest any man should boast.

So according to the scriptures we are saved by God's grace through faith that comes by the word of God as we believe and follow what Gods' Word says as our faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

GOD'S SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF THE WORD OF GOD WHICH WE RECEIVE AS WE BELIEVE WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS

John 6:63, It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU THEY ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE.

John 17:17, Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.

Matthew 4:4 Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Acts of the Apostles 2:38 Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts of the Apostles3:19 Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, BELIEVING, you shall receive.

John 20:31 But THESE THINGS ARE WRITTEN THAT YOU MIGHT BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; AND THAT BELIEVING YOU MIGHT HAVE LIFE THROUGH HIS NAME.

Acts of the Apostles 24:14, But this I confess to you, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, BELIEVING ALL THINGS THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace IN BELIEVING, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

John 3:36, HE THAT BELIEVES ON THE SON HAS EVERLASTING LIFE; HE THAT BELIEVES NOT THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, BUT THE WRATH OF GOD REMAINS ON HIM.

According to the scriptures we receive God's Spirit by believing and following what Gods' Word says. God's Spirit is the Spirit of the Word of God *John 6:63 and works through Gods' Word *John 17:17 as we believe and follow what God's Word says allowing God to work in and through us to will and to do of His own good pleasure Philippians 2:13. Faith (belief or believing) comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God we are saved by grace through faith that comes from Gods' Word. Therefore I believe that the scriptures are the only rule of faith. The truth of Gods' Word can only be found as we seek Jesus for it through his Word by claiming his promise for his Spirit to be our guide and teacher (see John 16:13; John 7:17; John 14:26; John 8:31-36; 1 John 2:27). This is God's new covenant promise to those who believe and follow Gods' Word *Hebrews 8:10-12.

The Word of God is a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Scriptures are words of God and man which witness to Him. The rule of faith and practice is His faith and practice.

No one said scripture is the living Word but that said the scriptures are indeed living as we believe and follow what they say because it is the Spirit of God that works through God's Word (John 6:63). Therefore if faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, the scripture are the only rule of faith. "All scripture" we are talking about here unless you do not believe in the new testament?

The verse you quoted proves me quite literally its inspired from Gods WORD!! Not the Word itself GODS WORD is Jesus we all know this John 14:6 im not saying the bible not inspired im saying its not the WORD OF GOD WHO WAS AT THE BEGINNING WITH GOD John 1

Satan used Scripture to tempt Jesus and it was NOT God's Word.

Which is (the scriptures) the only rule of faith. Please read the OP. As posted earlier Jesus is the living Word of God that has given us his spoken and written Word of God that we are to believe and follow. That is why the scriptures are the only rule of faith if it is written that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. - Romans 10:17. There is no faith and no salvation outside of God's Word therefore the scriptures are the only rule of faith according to the bible and we are to believe and follow them.

God is not separated from His Word. Jesus who is the living Word of God has given us His spoken and written Word which is the only rule of faith that we are to believe and follow. There is no salvation outside of Gods' Spoken and written words according to the scriptures.

No. The faith and practice of a Person is not a book. Can your life be a book? Or rather would a book be a witness to your life if it's written about you? Is your life a book? Please consider what you're saying.

Jesus had faith and practice which He gave to us. Could the Apostles follow that rule before the Gospels were written or could they not? Was the faith and practice of Jesus not real before it was written down? Did Jesus exist as a Person who had faith and practice, which was the rule of humanity to follow, before anything was written of Him or not?

God manifests His Word through creation, the Bible is not the only evidence of God.

You said we ourselves don't believe the bible is the Word of God than you went back quite literally and say this the only way we can go full faith and spirited too follow the right path to righteousness is by the scripture I agree but to say that it comes from the bible not the Living Word isn't founded in scripture the bible shows that life is by Jesus not the bible, the right path is by Jesus not the bible. I agree the bible itself is inspired but the writers didn't write everything spoken the bible says this. That right there is enough for me to believe faith and tradition. ALL SCRIPTURE I agree but overall scripture or aka a bible wasn't a thing @LoveGodsWord and yes I very much believe the new testament but not the idea that solo scriptura even lacks logicality

No. No one has ever said or posted here that faith and practice is a book. Please read the OP. The Apostles had Jesus to give them the spoken Word of God that was recorded for us today as the written Word of God. Before the new covenant Gods' people had the spoken and written Word of God that they believed and followed just as we do today. Therefore the only rule of faith according to the scriptures is Gods' Word. There is no faith outside of the scriptures according to Romans 10:17.

Exactly the whole universe is sustained by Words proceeding from the mouth of the father - not the Bible.

Saying the scriptures is the only rule of faith isn't founded in the scriptures thats what I been saying the entire time. False, once again there is no salvation outside the Living Word John 14:6

This is the central claim of your OP.

This is a massive leap. If faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Person) and we are saved by faith that comes from the Word of God (Person) then the rule of faith should be the Person of the Word of God. Scripture is a witness to Him.

There was no leap. Only scripture was provided showing that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God - Romans 10:17. Therefore there is no faith outside of the scriptures which is God's Word and we receive faith by believing and following what God's Word says.
