Matt.5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus tells us how to achieve the righteousness greater than that of the Scribes and Pharisees in Matt. 5:17-19.
17Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. 18For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.19So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

And Rev.14:12
12Here is a call for the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Through the Holy Spirit and the very life of Jesus in us, whom we invite daily into our lives, we will achieve the Kingdom of God.

This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:19-21

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word,
it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20

Light exposes that which is hidden in darkness. It is possible that Satan would have been the first hater of the law because it exposes even him.
