Leadership and humility.

What do you think of these scriptures? Do they go together? I saw this Isaiah scripture on TV one day and it occurred to me how well they fit with the Lord's words. He says whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Does that mean he will be exalted into a leadership role? All these scriptures speak of leadership in my opinion.

Isaiah 11:6 And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion [a]and the fattened steer will be together;
And a little child will lead them.

Matthew 18:1 At that [a]time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 And He called a child to Himself and set him among them, 3 and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 23:10 And do not be called [a]leaders; for only One is your Leader, that is, Christ. 11 But the greatest of you shall be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

The first scripture in Isaiah refers to how things will be in His eternal kingdom.

In that Kingdom we will all be perfect and not in need of correction.

In the mean time we need leaders to watch over our unredeemed souls.

However good leadership is rare and needs to be discerning, wise and sensitive.

As He said "you will have many teachers and few fathers" - and so it is that we have made teachers leaders in many cases. We need more fathers as leaders if we are to reflect God's love to the world and nurture christian family.

You could be right, but i suppose it depend on ones interpretation of scripture. I dont really understand Revelation or prophetic words from Isaiah. I have heard people suggest that dividing sheep and goats refers to how God divides us as individuals. Dividing the good from the bad. Maybe that's not correct, like i said i don't know. Its all a mystery to me, but I felt edified by this scripture anyway. Jesus did lead us as he humbled himself and was exalted which is the lessons i see here.
