No, Jesus is not saying a nation can be made a disciple nor can a nation be baptized, but disciples are to be made in every nation and these disciples are to be baptized.
If only He had actually said that.

What Jesus said was said in first century Greek used in the area, thus no one can be certian of the exact meaning of these words. The context helps and so since we know "nations" cannot be baptized and thus "nation" would have to refer to individuals in the nation, we can assume the same for the "nation" talking about being made disciples.

My church has been baptized. Has yours?

Did your church leaders order everyone to be baptized or was each individual given a choice? If someone refused to be baptized were the kicked out of the church?
That’s twice you’ve not answered my question. So you’re next.

OK, no my church did not experience a Noah and those with him a baptism of the ark.
Now tell me:

“Repent” is a command.
Jesus exercised authority over demons, sickness, and even the weather, but never over the will of men.

Jesus is the good shepherd who leads his sheep. He is not the good cowboy who drives the herd.

I didn’t ask about Noah now did I.

Jesus exercised authority over demons, sickness, and even the weather, but never over the will of men.

In his ministry, He never directed men who rejected him to do anything. He gave plenty of warnings to His enemies - but never any commands.

Jesus is the good shepherd who leads his sheep. He is not the good cowboy who drives the herd.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Again directed to His disciples, not His human adversaries, and requires voluntary compliance.

He’s King over all. The commandants are for everyone.

Guess that leaves out the later gentile church that slaughtered millions who wouldn't follow their worldly commands.

The Great Commission was strictly spoken to His disciples. For someone to fulfill the Great Commission, one must at least be a saved - otherwise what kind of disciples are you making?

And I know from arguing with you in other posts, you don't believe it is God's will for everyone to be saved (in spite of what 2 Peter 3:9 and 1 Timothy 2:4 says). Given your statement here and your stance on God's will concerning salvation, Jesus is commanding some to do that which is not His will.

I’m not going to get into your verses taken out of context. We will stick with this thread and this topic.

Yes, He wants His disciples to make disciples of all nations. I think His plan is coming along nicely (though He certainly doesn’t need my approval).

It’s not semantics. It’s right in the text.
Okay, I didn't mean semantics, but the way you are insisting on interpreting the verse, As
Translated. Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
I have rejected your interpretation that this means that nations are being discipled and baptized,
because I knew there was a verse that clarifies this to mean "out of every nation".
Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying:
You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

I am sure you are aware that by the scriptures, there are 70 nations recognized by God as
the nations of the earth, found in Genesis 10, which lists the immediate descendants of Noah,
and is normally referred to as the "table of the nations".[Gk.=ethnos]
Not many of these nations can be identified with current national, geopolitical boundaries, which
are most likely irrelevant. These 70 are ethnos, ethnic distinctions, not nations. Do you know of any
ethnic groups that are fully disciples of Christ? How is that working for the Great Commission?
