As a woman, I relate most to Sarah and Esther. But I feel a special kinship with Joseph. Adversity didn’t diminish his love for God. His story reminded me of the Lord’s presence during all seasons. Even when it appears otherwise. He’s right beside us.

/b for bump
Thank you for the bump; I was thinking this thread was a year or more ago, but it's only been 4 months. Now I remember what early June 2021 in my life was like and see where God was with me and in me. A nice blessing this morning.

That's a hard one. I would the same most likely the prophetess Anna who prayed in the temple day and night and fasted. I think it was like 70 plus years she had been widowed. I'd also say Joseph on so many levels - dreaming and interpretation, temptation, betrayal, and possibly rising through the ranks that I pray that it will be used for God's glory someday.

Someone in Japan said that I'm a Paulette. So I guess that I have some kind of commonality with paul. Maybe it's because it was on a remote island that most Japanese would never want to live.

Well, I don't know if I AM like him, as I have most unfortunately found myself acting in ways contrary to his nature, but I certainly wish to be most like Boaz. He was a good, soft-spoken person who adored the equally meek and good-hearted Ruth, and never used his position of power to be harsh with or take advantage of others in any way. He was responsible with it, instead. :)

A knight worthy of following as a role model, to be sure.
