Do these people with PETA realize that without the dolphins help the ships with food, water, and medical supplies would've arrived in Iraq too late for the people that had been going without food and water for day's? These dolphins saved many lives by the work they did and with that in mind I would say the people at PETA are cruel!

Thy have even protested the use of rats in medical research.

I protest the deliberate mistreatment and forcible suffering of God's creatures for the benefit of humans, as well.

I don't get it...

if God put us above animals, and allowed us to have command over animals (to hunt or to domesicate), how is that we're NOW lower than animals?! Is their lives so much more important than HUMAN life?!

There is NO equality between human and animals. We are NOT animals, nor should be put at the same level as animals. We're lower than angels, but HIGHER than animals. And we are seperate and APART from animals, being that we are CREATED in God's image and given with a soul or divine spark that's within us. We don't have instints; we have intuition and feelings. We don't have fur; we have skin. We don't growl or howl; we can speak.

Where did PETA get the idea to attribute humanity to animals, to begin with? I am aware that animals DO have emotions, but it's very basic...ours are so complex; because of our place in the hierarchy. I am aware that animals DO have a place in our lives: they help us live better. There's been health reports saying that those who have pets tend to live longer. It DOES put importance of animals; animals have always been and always will contribute their part in making our lives better. Let's be grateful for that, but don't put them on a pedestal or treat them better than humans!

If PETA doesn't like animals being utilized for war efforts, for lab/research, for disabled people, for entertainment, etc, etc., then I have a suggestion for them: instead of animals, the PETA group could go in their place instead. :p

Sorry for this rant, but it irks my taters about PETA's pettiness and absurdity over animal "rights" . Hey, I have a white female cat, Ember, and I love her dearly...and she had me trained very well. ;)

PETA Protests Treatment of Chickens in War in Iraq

By our Animal Rights Correspondent, Mark Fisher

NORFOLK, VA ? PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is sending eco-troops to Iraq to combat the "rampant and repeated misuse of chickens, pigeons, dolphins and sea lions by the Coalition forces" in the War in Iraq.

When we learned of the military's use of chickens to detect chemical attacks, we knew the time had come for us to act," said a PETA spokesperson. "The US is putting animals in harm's way. We have reports of dozens of hens dying en route to the Persian Gulf, and we don't think that it's just coincidence that 75% of meals served to Coalition forces are chicken. Even if the chickens did enlist freely, which would make them Free Ranger chickens, I doubt that they intended to serve as dinner for the troops. They are becoming Meals of Mass Destruction

PETA has established a base in Kuwait, called 'Kuwaiti Field Chicken.' A PETA operative there described Cornish game hens which "huddle together and show visible signs of stress. They don't pay much attention to me, but for security reasons I haven't told them that I work for PETA."

PETA will dispatch its 23rd Furless Battalion to southern Iraq, consisting of three lactose-tolerant Seitan companies, a veggie/soy support company, and a dairy-free headquarters company. "April 6 - 12 is National Meatout Week, and we think this is an appropriate time to launch this campaign. Once we're 'in country' we hope to enlist the help of Iraqi citizens who are eager to throw off the yoke of decades of chicken abuse. We'll be forming squads of 'Fowl Freedom Fighters' with Iraqis, who will no doubt flock to us once they realize that our intentions are total chicken liberation."

PETA top brass concedes that discerning Coalition chickens from Iraqi chickens may be difficult. "Our plan is to separate the chemical-detection chickens from the rural Iraqi chickens as swiftly as we can. We can only hope that the Coalition forces adhere to accepted terms of engagement as far as chemical-sniffing chickens are concerned. If they're disguised as Iraqi chickens, the ensuing confusion could lead to rural chickens going to detox centers. We hope this doesn't happen, but we realize that war is hell. My eight years as a boom operator for M*A*S*H taught me that."

If chicken liberation becomes mired in a long campaign, PETA may unleash the full force of its Elite Lettuce Leaf Guard. Members of this select group include Rikki Lake, Alec Baldwin, Pamela Anderson, Bill Maher, Ellen DeGeneres, Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan.

"We're in this now, and we won't leave until we've liberated every chicken in Iraq. And you'd better believe we'll be going after the camels and goats next."

"Many people believe that the Iraq war is about oil. Actually, it's about chickens."

In a related development, PETA confirmed that it had temporarily hired recently-ejected Fox News war correspondent, Geraldo Rivera, as its embedded PETA-TV journalist in Iraq, but released him within minutes of his first field report. "He was somewhere near Al Kut, drawing a map in the sand of Coalition chicken movements. Within seconds, we could see he was wearing bomber jacket made of leather. We had no choice but to fire him."

Rivera reportedly has added PETA to his list of organizations that are "out to get him" and "full of rats."

All life is important. Do I believe humans are above animals? Yes. But that does not give humans the right to perform acts of cruelty on animals, whether they be rat or dolphin.

...And we are seperate and APART from animals, being that we are CREATED in God's image and given with a soul or divine spark that's within us.

Who says animals don't have a soul or a divine spark?

We don't have instints; we have intuition and feelings.

Humans have instincts. Animals have intuition and feelings.

We don't have fur; we have skin.

Hair = fur and animals have skin.

We don't growl or howl; we can speak.

Humans growl and howl. I've heard them. Animals do speak, just not in our tongue.

I am aware that animals DO have emotions, but it's very basic...ours are so complex; because of our place in the hierarchy.

I disagree.

I am aware that animals DO have a place in our lives: they help us live better. There's been health reports saying that those who have pets tend to live longer. It DOES put importance of animals; animals have always been and always will contribute their part in making our lives better. Let's be grateful for that, but don't put them on a pedestal or treat them better than humans.

Animals help us live, period. Without animal life doing 'their thing' where God placed them, humans would not survive. They are essential to the natural ecosystem and all life on Earth.

I have a white female cat, Ember, and I love her dearly...

So, how would you feel if Ember was injected with terminal cancer in a lab?
