Hello beautiful people,
I'm back after another hiatus because I had some faith issues going on. After moving out of my grandparents' house back in January, I realized that I let them pressure me into being Catholic. I had to manipulate a lot of my thinking to conform to what they wanted and that was unhealthy... I can't force my own faith and beliefs. I have to actually believe it myself, you know? So now I'm starting to look at other churches near me.
As I look into a non-denominational church near me, I'm thinking about asking to get baptized again if they do more of an immersion method rather than just pouring water on the head. But I guess it's more about my want to be baptized and this time feeling like I made the choice on my own without heavy influence from my family to conform to their specific belief systems. For me, it would be a healing sort of thing like that.
That being said, I just wanted to ask for prayers to help me understand my faith and curate my own ways of showing love and appreciation to God. Thank you so much brothers and sisters in Christ. I love you all!
