It is 48 out and it is getting cold in my house. Measures are being taken. The heat goes on. Lol

Uh oh!A couple of days in the low 40s. We turned the heat on and ...
... nothing happened. Parts no longer available. Looks like we need a new furnace. In a hurry.
Second opinion coming tomorrow. In the mean time daytime temps are good. The house stays in the 60s at night. We will have it fixed one way or another in a week. Electric room heaters are at the ready just in case.Uh oh!

We’ve used those; they work in s snap. Have you got anyone coming out to look at it?Second opinion coming tomorrow. In the mean time daytime temps are good. The house stays in the 60s at night. We will have it fixed one way or another in a week. Electric room heaters are at the ready just in case.
The one thing I was poorly prepared for earlier this year was a storm that took out electricity to the neighborhood for almost four days. A tiny bit prepared, but not enough. I had three battery backups, enough to start our on demand water heater (needs electricity) and run a pump to my fish tank and keep my modem and network up. I'd deplete one and drive to my daughter's house for a recharge while the other was working. Needless to say that would not power a refrigerator. That's sort of the one area where I feel highly vulnerable. But then of course natural gas prices are on a steady steep incline. I expect it to be painful to pay for heat this winter. As long as I can pay I can stay warm. But if the electricity goes out there's not a lot I can do. I've been thinking of a solar panel and battery and inverter but those cost some serious cash.Glad you are prepared.
First bid was yesterday. Second bid will be tomorrow. We noticed it out Friday night. We’ve used those; they work in s snap. Have you got anyone coming out to look at it?
