Remember when someone asked the Mexican President what they would do if someone was to go into Mexico from US, illegally? Arrest and jailtime. Then deportation.

I guess that only applies to American citizens entering Mexico. Although I entered Ensendada on a cruise from LA a few years ago without showing a passport. They certainly are not arresting people entering from anywhere else.

A few years ago I could enter Mexico at Brownsville Tx or any other crossing, and get a tourist visa on just my driver's license for ID. No passport necessary coming or going.

But that was a few years ago. But even then, if I tried to get across by other fences, and was caught, I would be in some deep ...water.

hmmm sounds like "drug users offering to pay cash to drug dealers and drug cartels so they can just get some drugs. Which is of course violating the law against buying drugs and it is also drawing all sorts of drug dealers and cartels into the business getting illegal drugs here".
