“If we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins” (Heb 10:26 KJV).” “If we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins” (NLT).

If it were said that one received the truth (the Gospel), it could be correctly conceived that one believed and accepted salvation. But this passage refers to, not the truth but the “knowledge of the truth.” Can one reborn (saved) continue to live sinning intentionally—as was prior to rebirth? No! This would prove the absence of rebirth. The design of the passage intends the sense of one coming to know what the Gospel is, and continues to willingly live in sin, without receiving the Gospel—but only receiving (discovering) the knowledge of it.

“It had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness (receive the knowledge of the truth), than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment” (2Pe 2:21). “They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin” (Jhn 15:22, 24).

“And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more” (Luk 12:47, 48). This answers to the saying that “proportionate to a man's light is his guilt!”

Actually, that is one of five warnings in the book of Hebrews to the Hebrew Christians who were considering Judaizing the gospel, or returning to Judaism--perhaps because of persecution, perhaps because of disinheritance of their families, or perhaps considering joining a Jewish sect, such as the one at Qumran near the Dead Sea, maybe from the large group of priests who became obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).
Nevertheless, the letter is to warn them that if they return to Judaism, they are rejecting the only sacrifice there is for sin, and they will die in their sin unpaid for and condemned.

I think every reborn Christian still sins at times and that those who think they don't, sin doing that. 1 John 1:8-10 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us." So we live through forgiveness and our purity is not by trying to stay sinless but through God's grace over us.

Mind you I know wilful sin is always in trouble. For the letter to the Hebrews explains what happens when we have sin dwelling in our hearts. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

If you want others to hurt you, or your children, show the example of working ill( unrighteousness/iniquity/ungodliness/sin) to others, as the whole message is to do to others as you wan them to do to you ( and your loved ones)

Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

It's my understanding that one who is truly reborn will never again desire to live after "the old man," i.e. "flesh" - Ro 8:9, because God causes believers to always desire His "pleasure" instead of the pleasure of their sin nature (Phl 2:13).

I believe that the idea of "sinning" has to do with still living after the old man or sin nature. All reborn still sin, the difference is that it's never again their desire nor intention (Ro 8:9; Phl 2:13).

Agreed. . .
It seems they hadn't really yet committed, meaning they were not really born again. They had only heard the gospel, they had not yet totally embraced it.

Maybe like the soil in Luke 8:13.

The righteousness of the law ( not the unrighteousness of the law of sin and death) when they do the things of the Spirit, no longer carnal or it is death still, which cant fulfil righteousness at all...

Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Then Gods will is us being blameless and harmless, to be sons of God, without rebuke, among the crooked perverse ones of darkness ( they shine as lights)...

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

True! We receive the knowledge of the truth when we hear the Gospel, and we receive salvation from the truth when we receive the Lord Jesus (Jhn 1:12; Col 2:6; Rev 3:20).
