Yes indeed some may not be so intense, you might have seen the less intense ones like this a sun dog nonetheless. I have seen a ton of the less magnitude ones.

Argg , that's a bummer, i live in a mid range area per say between the equator and the upper north, might be a reason i only see the less intense ones not a lot of ice crystals in the atmosphere but enough to produce smaller versions.
