Top conservative lawyers steer clear of Trump's latest legal fight - CNNPolitics

These lawyers ain't gonna help him out.

I just can't help but wonder why Trump would be trying SOOOOO hard to hide things? I'm not even saying he's guilty. I'm also wondering if his supporters recognize how much stuff he hides. SOOOOO many things are hidden. And it's so weird that the things that are hidden are also the things he brags about; it's almost like....maybe.....maybe it's not true.

I fully expect the "Obsess about Trump much?" comments cause there really isn't too much else to respond to if you support this corpulent mess of humanity. Tell you what though if he would not be fighting it so hard, the only thing I would have to say is "I wonder what will come out. Better get the popcorn" Then y'all can give the truth some air and move forward.

Why does Trump still matter?
He is still considered the front runner for the Republican Ticket.

Not gonna lie, I expected an American to know that, glad this thickheaded communist Canadian could help you out!

That said, I'm guessing none of y'all are overly interested in what Trump did on January 6 cause some alphabet problem....BLM.....CNN,CRT...I dunno. Something nebulous that makes his involvement inconsequential regardless of what he did.

Huh?

word salad.

Anyways
The reason why “they” still care is because it’s still within the scope of prosecution.

You wouldn’t be saying this if trump was a known murder but whatever.
word salad.

It's just that, he's not president at the moment so he's just a clown. (thus my question) There is nothing wrong with clowns ... except when others are forced to rely on them in a position of authority.

Trump is still essentially the new definition of the Republican Party which is why so many are aligning themselves with his vision and views of what should be done.

That is why he needs to hide everything. He must keep the bad people from misinterpreting perfectly innocent things like torrid love affairs with his daughter and a KGB-trained dictator. People will turn those into really unappealing things.

And he's not in a position of authority but ALL SIGNS are that he is likely going to run for that position of authority again.

And if he IS going to run for that position again, is there a GOOD reason for him to employ executive privilege?

1) What crimes of Trump? Gotta tell you, my dad is 79 years old. He has NEVER had to appear in court for anything. He's also never had to buy off women who are accusing him of sexual misconduct.
2) What hidden? Honestly, that says enough of your awareness if the first question didn't.
3)ROFL....yeah sure. Canada "tends" to elect people that make a serial murderer look like a chosen Child of God.

Your hyperbole is so distracting I can't even be bothered to care about which examples you could POSSIBLY give to fit that description.

Also, if there was a clown who was reported to be putting razor blades on the swing bars of the flying trapeeze, poison in the elephant's drinking water, and kneecapping the Ringmaster, a GOOD circus would think that maybe one should investigate the clown's involvement in the safety and integrity of the circus.

Same question again. Please reply to it this time. Crime means something, law means something. Your emotions rooted in nothing, I can do nothing about, if you do not speak of them. Be real or be irrelevant

I don't think you're being very sympathetic to just how hard it is to be a straight white billionaire in this country. They're the REAL victims here!

In all seriousness, lawyers are steering clear of it, because lawyers are smart lol.

They're good at manipulation and telling people things that are advantageous to their goals, but they're not going to willingly take on something that's a guaranteed "fail" if they have higher career aspirations.

A good example would be the popular right-wing pundit Ben Shapiro (a Harvard Law graduate). While a lot of people disagree with his political preferences, and many of his talking points...one thing you can't say about the guy is "he's dumb".

He'll "own the libs" whenever he gets the chance. Yet, when there's something (even if it's a pro-conservative cause) that he knows is a guaranteed failure, his lawyer instincts kick in, he hedges his bets and uses that as an opportunity and spins it to his own advantage to say "see, I'll criticize conservatives too" and railed against the "stolen election" claims, bashed the Jan 6th perpetrators. Much like he espouses pro-vaccine views that go against what many of his staunch conservative viewership believes.

In the case of lawyers, I get the vibe that many are in the "Only take on the causes you know you can win first, ideology second" camp.

I am being real. I've noticed Trump's behaviour pattern and I assume he is continuing that behaviour pattern; given the frequency that he employs it.

This has been his MO his entire life.
Maybe you could help me understand why he would try to employ executive privilege.

Well, after he got elected, he didn't stop campaigning.

I get this sense that he doesn't care about the office, just other people's attention, so I just ignore him.

Without actual power, he's just a harmless attention seeker.

As far as the danger he presents, that's only if he gets elected again. However, if that happens - he won't be allowed to run again any way so the suffering will be limited in nature.
