90%? Was that back in January 2021 that it was at 90% supposed effectiveness? As we know, multiple studies and reports have shown that waned within a few months to a much lower percentage and practically gone after 6 months. And the vaccines don't do much for other variants. This sounds like something from January, rather than today. It doesn't make sense to me.

All the Elders that are his disciples (as well as a couple disciples of St. Joseph the Hesychast) that I've seen explained that this shot and all that's going on with it has to do with conditioning people to be more susceptible (and less discernible) to future shots or injection or insertion of whatever tech advanced mechanism that'll come about, which makes them more in danger of accepting the mark. Many saying the shot will harm thousands, as well.

Conditioning is different than actually being marked. Many people who have received the shot seriously disagree with mandates. Many received it before the mandates as well.

For what it’s worth, if I hadn’t already had the shot, I’d be tempted to avoid getting it just to point out my disagreement with the mandates requiring vaccines for my work. It’d be out of protest though rather than thinking it is wrong to take the shot.

I believe Paisios was right, but it's because of other things I've read from other contemporary saints. You see, spiritual people don't just go along with a thing because everybody else is doing it and has been doing it. Only those who will blindly accept the sealing in the false religion of Anti-Christ would do such a thing. You are aware that science/medicine/tech (the knowledge of man) form the foundation of Satan's church, right? If this is true, then why do you and so many others believe that a medicine cannot be a form of sealing in Anti-Christ? Or that it would not serve as a sign that we trust more in princes and sons of men in whom there is no salvation than in God, who said that sacrificing children to demons is the epitome of evil and the sign of a most wicked civilization. We of faith will accept medical care when it is moral, but we will not stand for evil ways in ourselves or others, such as the testing of things on fetal cell lines derived from sinfully sacrificed new lives in God's image and likeness, offered to demons and then offered to us. We wouldn't do it know matter if every single other Orthodox Christian in the world were to do it. We entrust our lives, or our deaths, to God, and look for the resurrection of the dead and the Life of the world to come. We will lose our life, so that we will keep it. It is God's grace that gives us this strength of spirit. My exhortation to repent as stated before stands, because the days are extremely numbered. If we take the vaccine we don't necessarily receive the mark of the Beast, but our willingness to do so is a sure indication of an inadequate spiritual life, and that will surely lead to worshipping the Beast.

Yes, conditioning is not the same as getting the mark. They never said this shot was the mark of the beast. They only warned that taking the shot will make people more open to receiving something similar in the tech future that would actually be the mark. Hope that is clarified.

Last I checked on a poll several weeks ago, about 70% of the public polled don't want these vaccine mandates. Yes, the majority of us agree on that.

Amin! It is shocking to me how effective the work of the adversary is in this pandemic situation. It doesn't even matter if you think you're a better Orthodox or a better science-follower or a better citizen or better reader of the saints. It all spirals out into great temptation. I'm think I'm at the point where I will have to completely stop interacting with this topic in any way. Everything and everywhere seems to transform into temples of COVID or sacrifices to COVID.

The data coming out of Israel shows the exact opposite, which casts doubt on the veracity of the article's claims.

My cousins were going to have clergy visas to go to Israel with family. Israel requires 3 year olds to be vaccinated for that.

(Of course, they didn’t allow their 3 year old to be vaccinated at this time!)

The point is, he wrote that it was possible to be marked by a vaccine. This opens the door for considering that the Covid vaccine is at least a potential means of marking. That was the purpose of this reference.
