How would you describe the difference between these two fields of study?
The Greek philosophers from the times before Christ wrote some verses to make me want to search for more knowledge.
Greek Philosopher Quotes On Ancient Knowledge To Motivate You

I found the Gospels, Acts and Epistles also to my liking. The other day I found Psalms after a long absence from the book. One praised the Lord for constant support, there were testimonies giving thanks and pleadings for the poor and defenseless.

How would you describe the difference between these two fields of study?
The philosopher says "I'm searching for God" or "I haven't found that God exists."
The theologian says "God is searching for you."
The difference is the mentality. One is God-centered, the other self-centered.

The Encyclopedia Britannica summed them up as follows -

philosophy | Definition, Systems, Fields, Schools, & Biographies

Philosophy, (from Greek, by way of Latin, philosophia, “love of wisdom”) the rational, abstract, and methodical consideration of reality as a whole or of fundamental dimensions of human existence and experience. Philosophical inquiry is a central element in the intellectual history of many civilizations.

Theology

Theology, philosophically oriented discipline of religious speculation and apologetics that is traditionally restricted, because of its origins and format, to Christianity but that may also encompass, because of its themes, other religions, including especially Islam and Judaism. The themes of theology include God, humanity, the world, salvation, and eschatology (the study of last times).
