The *two scripture references* are provided. The inquiry is into the possibility that the
key of David is related to the trumpet and the shout, as they have been laid out here:

Raise Up Your Voice Like A Trumpet
A Trumpet and a Shout
The Shout Of A King

For the Psalmist declares:
Psalm 47:5 God has gone up with a shout, The Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

The Key Of David
* Isaiah 22:
20
Then it shall be in that day,
That I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah;
21 I will clothe him with your robe
And strengthen him with your belt;
I will commit your responsibility into his hand.
He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem
And to the house of Judah.
22 The key of the house of David
I will lay on his shoulder;
So he shall open, and no one shall shut;
And he shall shut, and no one shall open.
23 I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place,
And he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house.

* Revelation 3:
7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David,
He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens:
8 I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;
for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
9
Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not,
but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that
I have loved you.
10
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial
which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no
more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New
Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And My new name.
13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

i think the key of David is love for the Lord/truth.

It was love for the Lord that made David the king after God's own heart. i think any one who loves The Lord sincerely is handed the key of David, and everything we do out of that love for God we succeed in, for in the love of The Lord we are more than conquerors and are even allowed to rule beside Christ seated on His throne.

Isaiah 55:3-4
"Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,

a ruler and commander of the peoples.

It seems to me that the Key of David refers to the power of kings to reverse the decisions of lower authorities and even their own decisions. Even today, presidents and governors have the power to commute the sentences of convicted criminals. In the bible this is mentioned in Matt 16:19 as the power to bind and loosen. The laws of the Kingdom of Heaven can be loosened or tightened by the Sons of God during their reign on earth, according to how they see fit. No one will be able to contradict these actions.

No! Where in Isaiah 22 and Revelation 3 does it link the key of David with the trumpet and the shout?
I made a reference in the OP.
For the Psalmist declares:
Psalm 47:5 God has gone up with a shout, The Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Here is the full Psalm 47:
1
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2
For the Lord most high is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4
He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigns over the heathen: God sits upon the throne of his holiness.
9
The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham:
for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Isaiah 22 and Revelation 3 referencing the key of David both pertain to Christ's rule and doors
opened by Him from His throne to his servants.
When "the princes of the people are gathered together", they will rightly comprehend the significance
of "the trumpet and the shout", that establishes His Presence as their Anointing; for "the judgment
is the Lord's".
The journey through the wilderness established that the Lord was able to rule over the people
by way of 70 judges chosen by Moses, a priesthood to maintain the holiness of the camp, and the organization of the tribes.

Numbers 10:
2
Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou may
use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee
at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the
thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

Revelation 1:10
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice,
as of a trumpet...

There is no mention of the key of David in Psalm 47. But this is talking about the kingship of Christ over the nations now.

The Kingship of Christ is the point where Psalm 47, Isaiah 22, and Revelation 3
and a few hundred other verses meet.
The "princes who are gathered together"
Psalm 47,
"the house of David" Isaiah 22
"those who overcome" Rev 3:
12
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out
no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

The trumpet and the shout had a role from an earthly perspective that reflects the divine
truth that wisdom comes from above unto those who are born from above, to be more than
conquerors, and to reign in Life. To experience an open door that no person can shut.

Jesus is king now! He reigns over all His enemies now! Do you reject that?
I accept this.
1 Corinthians 15:
25
For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,
it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.
28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him
who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
Hebrews 2:
5
For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.
6 But one testified in a certain place, saying:
What is man that You are mindful of him,
Or the son of man that You take care of him?
7 You have made him a little lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And set him over the works of Your hands.
8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”
For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him.
But now we do not yet see all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death
crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

I reject your attempt to derail the topic of the thread. If you still do not
understand, let me ask you this; have you really never experienced a victory over
the enemy in which all you could do is shout and praise his name? If the Lord is
willing to move heaven and earth to bring His deliverance when you call upon Him
in Spirit and in Truth, don't you know that you are standing in front of that open door?

Psalm 118:
15
The voice of rejoicing and salvation
Is in the tents of the righteous;
The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted;
The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live,
And declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
But He has not given me over to death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them,
And I will praise the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord,
Through which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise You,
For You have answered me,
And have become my salvation.

Jesus is reigning over His enemies only to the extent that we are living victoriously by Him.
If you want to argue for something greater than that now, please originate a thread. I feel
that is too far off topic. Not trying to be antagonistic, just trying to moderate my own thread.
As for the topic of the thread, the key of David that opens doors is for the faithful.

Revelation 3:8 I know your works.
See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have
a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
How do you see the key of David in the present? Is this in play for faithful saints?

The powerful language that accompanies the mention of Christ holding the key of David proves that this is referring to His majestic power and might that came with taking the Messianic throne of David. It says, “he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth.” This speaks of spiritual power. The key allows Christ to sovereignly open and shut in a way that no man can thwart or override.

If He is reigning with a rod of iron, all His enemies would be in sheol, physically dead. They certainly would not be walking around on earth. The rod of iron is not about grace nor faith. It is about strict obedience.

The Key Of David
* Isaiah 22:
20
Then it shall be in that day,
That I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah;
<snip>
* Revelation 3:
7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David,
He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens:

The Key of the House of David = The Sure Mercies of David

Esaias 22:19 And thou shalt be removed from thy stewardship, and from thy place. 20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Chelcias: 21 and I will put on Him thy robe, and I will grant Him thy crown with power, and I will give thy stewardship into His hands: and He shall be as a father to them that dwell in Jerusalem, and to them that dwell in Juda. 22 And I will give Him the glory of David; and He shall rule, and there shall be none to speak against Him: and I will give Him the Key of the House of David upon His shoulder; and He shall open, and there shall be none to shut; and He shall shut, and there shall be none to open. 23 And I will make Him a ruler in a sure place, and He shall be for a glorious throne of His Father’s house. 24 And every one that is glorious in the house of His Father shall trust in Him, from the least to the greatest; and they shall depend upon Him in that day.LXX

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name.
=
Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Matthew 16:18-19 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven.
=
John 20:21-23 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace to you: as [my] Father hath sent Me, even so send I you. And when He had said this, He breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; whose soever ye retain, they are retained.

Esaias 55:1-5 Ye that thirst, go to the water, and all that have no money, go and buy; and eat and drink wine and fat without money or price. Wherefore do ye value at the price of money, and give your labour for that which will not satisfy? hearken to Me, and ye shall eat that which is good, and your soul shall feast itself on good things. Give heed with your ears, and follow My ways: hearken to Me, and your soul shall live in prosperity; and I will make with you an Everlasting Covenant, the sure mercies of David. Behold I have made Him a testimony among the gentiles, a prince and commander to the Nation. Nations which know thee not, shall call upon thee, and peoples which are not acquainted with thee, shall flee to thee for refuge, for the sake of the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified thee.LXX

Revelation 22:16-17 I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The voice of rejoicing and salvation
Is in the tents of the righteous;
The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted;
The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live,
And declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
But He has not given me over to death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them,
And I will praise the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord,
Through which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise You,
For You have answered me,
And have become my salvation.

Psalms 118:19-26 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord. 20 This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it. 21 I will give thanks to Thee; because Thou hast heard Me, and art become My salvation. 22 The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner. 23 This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes. 24 This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it. 25 O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity. 26 Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.LXX

Matthew 21:42-43 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Because, at the beginning of this parable, God is the householder, Jerusalem is the vineyard, hedged about...

Matthew 21:33-34 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: And when the time of the fruit drew near, He sent His servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

Matthew 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest until a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands, and it smote the image upon its feet of iron and earthenware, and utterly reduced them to powder.

...hedged about/protected by the Law, by which fruits are expected...
John 15:1-8 Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My Disciples.

* Isaiah 22:
20
Then it shall be in that day,
That I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah;
21 I will clothe him with your robe
And strengthen him with your belt;
I will commit your responsibility into his hand.
He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem
And to the house of Judah.
22 The key of the house of David
I will lay on his shoulder;
So he shall open, and no one shall shut;
And he shall shut, and no one shall open.
23 I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place,
And he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house.

* Revelation 3:
7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David,
He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens:
8 I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;
for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Excellent observations. Here is another prophecy given by Kim Clement - June 20, 2008.

"For God said there will be a restoration of the tabernacle of David. What is this says the Lord? It means whatever took place in David's tabernacle is going to take place on the earth again. What is it, what is it that I had in the tabernacle of David? My covenant, the ark of the covenant was in the tabernacle of David. Get ready for there will be praise like you have never heard. Get ready for there will be sounds that you have never heard before. Get ready, says the Lord, worship shall arise that the world has never been heard before for the key for the key of David has been given to you. The key of David has been given to you. Now people, rejoice, for I will restore and the ark of the covenant shall bring my presence, my glory, and my power back again to the earth!"

Amos 9:11 is more familiar because it is quoted in Acts 15:16.
Then there is this from Isaiah and speaks righteous judgment.

Isaiah 16:5 In mercy the throne will be established;
And One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David,
Judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.

Thanks for sharing that prophecy. I have heard of Kim Clement, but have never
studied the prophecies of any modern prophet. Interesting. Who will be established
with the open door of the key of David? I would say those who seek this as a church.
Only the church at Philadelphia is said to have this access, who also received no rebuke
as did the other 6 churches. I have experienced the power released from the shout of a
king, and there will be those who are anointed to "bring down walls". The Lord taught me
about 25 years ago that the "voice of shofar" does not require a trumpet or ram's horn,
during a period of intensive study and prayer in the testimonies of Isaiah.
Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, (literally, raise
the voice of shofar) and shew my people their transgression, and
the house of Jacob their sins. (impending judgment, implying the tabernacle of David
as shown in Isaiah 16:5.
The *two scripture references* are provided. The inquiry is into the possibility that the

Raise Up Your Voice Like A Trumpet
A Trumpet and a Shout
The Shout Of A King
I provided these links in the OP for more details on the relationship between these ideas.
There has been some contrary posts in this thread, but I don't hear the voice of experience
talking. If you haven't raised the trumpet and the shout, then why speak?
Apparently, the narrative of Jericho is just an OT tale with no modern application. Gideon?
I know the Teruah, but very few seem to even be familiar. I once tried discussing it with
Israeli evangelist Scott Holtz, who blows the shofar at his meetings, but he did not know
what I was talking about.
Psalm 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the teruah.
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
