Do you love your own self, or love another?

Through faith the world was made, and without faith we cannot please God...

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

These days the message is from the ones who please themselves, no labouring to enter in through faith.

Not all obeyed the Gospel of course, so then faith comes by hearing, to have faith when they hear..

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Romans 1016 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

What is left to hear, but that they do not labour sufficiently ?

All think they love God, but they must avoid being a lover of their own selves, have they avoided it yet..

Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Does anyone at all, feel any of Gods love, to live their lives for others, by loosing that life, hating their life in this world, does anyone follow Jesus on a forum that is inhabited by the people who love themselves, and who oppose Gods words subtly, and teach through the pride of the devil instead of the meekness of Christ?

2 Corinthians 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

1 Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

In order to correctly obey the command to love our neighbor as ourselves, we need to know how we should love ourselves, and the answer to that is that we should love ourselves as God loves us, and thus we are to love our neighbors as Christ loved us (John 13:34). When we obey the command to honor our parents, we are expressing that there is value to what they created, so by honoring our parents we are also honoring ourselves. Likewise, that parallels the 10th Commandment, where coveting someone else is wanting to be someone else and is not giving value to ourselves, so both the 5th and 10th Commandments are essentially commanding us to value ourselves. So loving ourselves and our neighbors is one thing and that is different from loving ourselves in a way that is selfish, that puts ourselves above others, that is proud, or that loves ourselves as the expense of others, which is what 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is speaking against.

In John 13 Jesus begins to tell the disciples how He is about to go away ( to die and be in the flesh no more) and gives that commandment to follow, to love one another as Jesus is now showing love for them, to follow, to love one another as Jesus is laying His life down shortly.....

John 13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Jesus speaks again in this next chapter, how they had now heard how Jesus will go away, but this is how He can come again to them ( through the Spirit which is Holy and love to be given to them) and they would rejoice if they had that love of Christ in them instead of being sorrowful and trying to prevent it as Peter had tried through satan ( Jesus had to say get thee behind me satan for savouring the things that be of men and not those that are of God, Matthew 16:23)...

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Jesus then gives the commandment, to love one another as He had loved us, and the greater love Jesus does by laying His life down ( love saves not its own life)

Now to be the friend of Jesus is to do what Jesus commands us to love one another as Jesus with the greater love to lay the life down for your friends)

Jesus showed how He had to lay His life down, and making this known to the disciples they are no longer servants ( of men and of themselves) but are now called the friends of God and also is not ashamed to call us brothers, and as the friend of God Abraham, to be blessed with faithful Abraham through faith, all sanctified and one with Christ who sanctified them, and not the friend of the world, being adulterers ( who love their own selves and lay not their lives down for God)..

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Galatians 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

When anyone did the command to honour parents, they were honouring what those people had created.

Now we are a new man, created in Christ, in righteousness and true holiness.

Then, the mother and brothers are those who her Gods word ( which is His will in Christ) and does it..

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Matthew 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

Coveting anything else, was because the people valued themselves and not others, and it is why in the way of Christ, we now do the opposite, we have the mind of Christ to esteem others, and not ourselves..

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
