A typical day. I roast coffee beans on the back porch, that's why the raw green coffee in my profile pic. Then brew them up in the kitchen. This is breakfast.

Real breakfast I eat late, either scrambled eggs and bacon or stove-cooked oats and berries with cinnamon.

"Lunch is for wimps."

Dinner is usually some animal flesh and vegetables. Dinner will vary the most though. Favorites are homemade pizza, whole roasted chicken, thai, or risotto. Tonight it's risotto, which I make the classical way with homemade chicken stock, parsley and chives from the garden, seared skin-on chicken breast, and a nice glug of pinot grigio.

Late snack is greek yogurt and berries.

Desert will be whiskey, obviously.

Potato and leek with ham soup. Very creamy, a little peppery. Some mushrooms and carrots for extra substance. And a bit of double Gloucester cheese for garnish.

Sounds good, how do you prepare the leeks? The best leek soup I've ever had was in the Caribbean and I was not smart enough to ask the chef how he did it. I've never been able to rival it.

Chocolate milkshake.

Been trying some diet pop lately.. honestly some of them are not that bad.. although my sense of taste is quite poor due to having no sense of smell.. so you know.. maybe for everyone else it is really bad.

Just as someone who needs to start counting calories again.. it is nice to drink something that has a zero or very minimal calorie count.

The leeks were part of a powdered base so they were dehydrated. It took about 25 minutes at a simmer for them to reconstitute.

Fresh leeks cook much like celery.

Just finished pieces of salmon, potatoes and lemon sauce.

Thankfully not farmed salmon, which I try to avoid like the plague.

And washed down with pommegranate juice.

Sounds good. Used to buy salmon back in the day. A little expensive.. but quite tasty.
