God rested after creating the earth and the Heavens, ( Jesus Christ created all) and then in Gods way, the Spiritual message began, after all is done, that was required to be done, God sanctifies rest.

Beginning at Psalm 94, that what is required until rest, is the wicked to be placed into the pit, as they give adversity all of the days on earth ( they give no rest as they have no rest/peace in them)...

Psalm 94:13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

The next chapter of Psalms, is instruction for us, to hear the voice of the Lord, and not have hardened hearts ( as the wicked)and God then swears these people do not enter into the Lords sanctified rest.

In the same chapter, God informs us that the Lord reigns, and that the world will be established ( by the Lord) that it will never be moved, as this is the Lord judging righteously, coming to judge the earth, the world with righteousness and the people with His truth...

Psalm 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Psalm 96:10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Psalm 96:13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

The Lord then arises ( from Heaven) to go into His rest, by letting the priests be clothed with righteousness, and said this is His rest for ever, where He dwells, when the Lord clothes her priests with salvation....

Psalm 132:8 Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

Psalm 132:14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

In Isaiah 62, the Lord then coming to earth, holds not His peace, and this is the Lord not resting, until He sent righteousness forth, His salvation to us. The watch men hold not their peace, and the world is established ( through Christ) and there is no rest given to Him, until then ( until the world cannot be moved )...

Isaiah 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Isaiah 62:6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

The next chapter of Isaiah, and He ( Jesus Christ) treads the winepress of God, sprinkling His garments, and it is the year of His redeemed.

The Lord ( Jesus Christ) led Israel dividing the water before them, the Spirit of the Lord caused him to rest, to make the Lord the glorious name...

Isaiah 63;3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

Isaiah 63:12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
13 That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
14 As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the Lord caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.

Isaiah 11, and the knowledge of the Lord ( the knowledge of Jesus Christ) fills the earth, and the Gentiles seek to Him, and His rest shall be glorious. Here I include the New American Version, in case anyone might be confused, how rest is also resting place, and is still the rest of the Lord in glory.....

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Isaiah 11:10 Then on that day
The nations will resort to the root of Jesse,
Who will stand as a signal flag for the peoples;
And His resting place will be glorious.

Isaiah 11 continues, and Egypt is targeted, as there will be a highway for the remnant of the Lords people, as when they came up out of the Land of Egypt. Revelation 19, confirms that Jesus treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God..

Isaiah 11:15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Jesus ( Christ) it is that was with the children of Israel in the wilderness, and with Him ( Jesus Christ) God drive out all adversaries ( all scripture testifies of Christ)...

Acts 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Acts 7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

Now Jesus speaking ( as Jesus Christ is Lord and God) speaks how Israel saw His works, and God testified they never knew His ways, then in wrath ( the judgment of the Lord) makes declaration how these ( who err in heart) will not enter into the Lords rest ( His glorious rest and glory)...

Psalm 95:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Now beginning in Hebrews, the Apostle Paul teaches us the end of the matter, how we are to take heed to not have that same evil heart of unbelief.

We have the matter told, how the declaration of them not entering into Gods rest ( His glorious rest and glory) was prevented by unbelief ( what is not of faith is sin)....

Hebrews 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Hebrews 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The next chapter of Hebrews, tells us how we which believe enter into rest, and the entering of the Lords rest ( glorious and glory) by the works that were finished from the foundation of the world.

Is it Jesus Christ our Lord, or Joshua that spoke of the Lords rest for us ? It cant be Joshua, because that would also be speaking in the law and of a sabbath rest in the law, as the New American Version seems to suggest. Did Joshua, or did Jesus Christ ( who speaks in all scripture) speak to us of another day?

It speaks of God of course, who entered into His rest, and we heard of another day, of the glorious rest of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we labour therefore to enter into THAT REST ( to not fail after the same example of the people in the law) through faith of Jesus Christ..

Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Hebrews 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:8 For if [d]Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. 9 Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11 Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.

Then we understand where Jesus entered into, what rest he entered into, ( of the world they think into a sabbath rest while on earth) but in Heaven we understand it is Heaven that Jesus Christ entered into.

If on earth ( as they believe in earthly rest/earth law keeping sabbath) then Christ would not be a priest, as the priests offered according to the law, they served in shadow of Heavenly things ( all in the law is therefore SHADOW) now we have the more excellent ministry and covenant and which is established ( the promises of the world established so it wont be moved and God not resting until the righteousness goes forth) and the new covenant is given with the house of Israel which are the DAYS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SPOKE OF, and not Joshua at all on earth...

Hebrews 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Do we see the testimony revolving around and missing nothing out, just as the earth revolves around ? Hebrews 12, speaks of Jesus ( not Joshua at all in anything) is the mediator of the new covenant, and now it is He that speaks from Heaven, ( better than speaking on earth/ Joshua) and the Lord confirmed that the earth will now, no longer be shaken and then will remain ( this is the day Christ spoke of and established)...

Hebrews 12:4 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Jesus even had to reprove His disciples, to understand that Christ suffered all of those things then entered into His glory ( entered into His rest)

Then in Revelations the praise goes forth, as the Lord God takes to Himself His great power and reigns ( entered into His rest)

This is His glorious rest, it is eternal. There is a rest that men do, it is not glorious, it is for a day.

We labour to enter into His same rest, through faith, or we do not labour in faith, and rest on a sabbath.

Luke 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

Revelation 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

I will end on this last testimony, how religions that separate from what God has said, all is clean, and insist ( in their rules and law keeping) that they will still have some clean and some unclean, or to abstain altogether, not only are false, but are shown to be the religion at the ending times doing so...

Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Isaiah 11:10 Then on that day
The nations will resort to the root of Jesse,
Who will stand as a signal flag for the peoples;

Acts 7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

It may be worthwhile to check these verses in another version besides the KJV. Nevertheless, the word translated "rest" in any version doesn't always refer to the same meaning/use. It can vary from "relaxation" or "restoration" to simply "a stopping/ceasing from labor/a particular activity". But certainly in the KJV the more archaic use ("ceasing from activity") is common.

what day does GOD esteemeth above the other days?
The Sabbath was given exclusively to the children of Israel
Exodus 31:16
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Leviticus 24:8
8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
Exodus 35:1-2
1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.
2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Romans 14:4-6
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Looking to see if I am in a protected forum . . . oh, we're in "Controversial Christian Theology". Even so, I need to pray and be guided what God wants us to share.

Jesus says >

"'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.'" (Matthew 11:28-29)

With learning from Jesus we have rest in our souls. We learn and discover how this will be.

This is His glorious rest, it is eternal. There is a rest that men do, it is not glorious, it is for a day.
Jesus Christ's rest is spiritual, not only stopping work for a while. This rest is all the time while we submit to Christ in His peace.

A meaningless accusation. As with many, most heterodox believers you apparently seek out information which supports your assumptions/presuppositions. I attended Sunday school the first time when FDR was president but I did not become a Christian until my mid 20s when LBJ was president. I did not grow up in a church so I did not have any "preconceived knowledge."

Bling got the part right about us being a kingdom of priests, and even though we may be grafted into Israel, it was not all Israel we were grafted into, it was the priesthood, just as Levi was the priest.

Someone else said they liked the order of Melchesidec, and that is the High Priest Jesus Christ, who not only had such a task to do, ( especially on the sabbath days against the high priests, Pharisees and lawyers) working as He said to the Pharisees, and we then follow the very same example, working to enter in through faith.

The question answered in faith then, what day is above another?

It is the same day that brings both salvation and destruction to what destroys us.

Why else is Jesus Christ the same, to day, and yesterday, and for ever..

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

There are many verses that associate hearing God's voice with obedience to His commandments, such as in Deuteronomy 9:23, where they rebelled against the commandments of the Lord their God and did not believe Him or obey His voice, or Exodus 19:5, where they will be God's treasured possession is they obey God's voice and keep His covenant. Likewise, having hardened hearts is associated with rebelling against God's commandments. There are also many verses that describe the Mosaic Law as being the way to know God's ways, such as Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Isaiah 2:2-3, Joshua 22:5, Psalms 103:7, and many others. God's law is His standard of righteousness and the standard by which he will judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth. In Psalms 119:142, God's righteousness is forever and His law is truth. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by making known to him His ways that he might know Him, and Israel too, so that is the way to fill the earth with the knowledge of God. In Hebrews 3:18, it is those who were disobedient that God sword would never enter His rest, and in Hebrews 4:11, we should strive to enter into that rest so that no one may fall away by the same sort of disobedience, so entering into God's rest should not be used to justify the same sort of disobedience. Our salvation is from sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4), so obedience to God's law is the way to be clothed with righteousness and salvation. Jesus set a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to God's law, and in Matthew 11:28-30, he was inviting people to learn from him, not inviting people to refuse to follow his example. By saying that we would find rest for our souls, he was referencing Jeremiah 6:16-19, where God's law is described as the good way where we will find rest for our souls. In Hebrews 8:10, the New Covenant still involves following God's law. We should live in a way that testifies about God's eternal rest by keeping the Sabbath holy.

1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

The way that you are trying to use these verses is contrary to entering into God's rest. The topic of Romans 14 is in regard to how to handle disputable matters of opinion, so nothing in the chapter should be interpreted as speaking against the commands of God. In 1 Timothy 4:1, Paul described what he was speaking about as being the doctrine of demons, so to interpret verse 2-5 as speaking against the holy, righteous, and good commandments of God is suggesting that they are the doctrines of demons, which is blasphemy.

Soy: "There are also many verses that describe the Mosaic Law as being the way to know God's ways, such as Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Isaiah 2:2-3, Joshua 22:5, Psalms 103:7, and many others. "

Examining Deuteronomy 10 more thoroughly, and we see the opposite to what you just stated.

God here wrote on two tables of stone, and in verses 12-13, the Lord requires Israel to fear the Lord, to love Him, to keep His commandments. Verses 16-17, show what is required for that, it is the circumcision of the heart, to stop being stiffnecked, for God does not regard persons ( God judges us according as every mans work shall be)...

Deuteronomy 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the Lord gave them unto me.

Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Deuteronomy 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

What was missing in the first covenant, now is addressed by the new testament and new covenant. Firstly, that the tables of stone, were not the way to the Father, that way is through the heart, written in fleshy tables of the heart.

To love God and love Gods ways ( to know God and know His ways) is the new covenant, of the love of God shed abroad into our hearts by the Holy Ghost given unto us, by Jesus Christ, Romans 5:5, and to fear the Lord is Spirit too, as exampled in Christ the Messiah..

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Neither could Israel circumcise the heart, as that circumcision is made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, which means, we are buried with Him in baptism, and are also risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who raised Him from the dead, and this is then God giving us all one heart, and putting the new Spirit within us, taking out the stony heart ( that is also the removing of the two tables of stone covenant) and gives us an heart of flesh to know the Lord...

Colossians 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Soy: "God's law is His standard of righteousness and the standard by which he will judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth."

Soy: "In Psalms 119:142, God's righteousness is forever and His law is truth."

God's law is to give us understanding and we shall live. That is the law, and that is to bring in everlasting righteousness. That understanding is given to the dead ( all are dead in Adam and all die in Adam) and they that hear shall live..

Psalm 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.
144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Wisdom speaks, to the ones who have no understanding, have no law ( of faith) and says, to forsake what is foolish ( the wisdom of men and the wisdom of this world of law of the letter and works which kills) to live and to go in the way of understanding 9 Christs faith gives us understanding in the law of Christ which is bearing one another's burdens)

Then they sanctify the name of the Lord, then they fear Him ( by His Spirit of fear of the Lord and of quick understanding) and they that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and the murmurers shall learn doctrine ( or the doctrine of Christ is hidden from them)....

Proverbs 9:4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Isaiah 29:23 But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

Soy: " In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by making known to him His ways that he might know Him, and Israel too, so that is the way to fill the earth with the knowledge of God. ."

Moses interacted with God having Gods Spirit, and Israel had it not.

God concluded that His presence went with Israel and to give them rest.

God summed up also, and proclaimed the name of the Lord ( as the Lord knows Moses by name) and that is to be gracious to whom He will be gracious, and to show mercy on who He will show mercy......

Exodus 33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Exodus 33:17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

That is continued in Romans 9, how it was then confirmed by the Lord ( this is to know Him or not know Him) that it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but it is only on God that shows mercy (Israel could know nothing until the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is declared (which is mercy and compassion and is the grace of Jesus Christ) and the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ..

Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Soy: " In Hebrews 3:18, it is those who were disobedient that God sword would never enter His rest, and in Hebrews 4:11, we should strive to enter into that rest so that no one may fall away by the same sort of disobedience, so entering into God's rest should not be used to justify the same sort of disobedience."

Chastened by Christ, we are taught that way by Him out of the law of Christ, this is giving man rest from the days of adversity of the wicked ( our adversary the devil, 1 Peter 5:8) and then the judgement Christ brought to the earth ( in the faith of Christ or eye cant see nor ear hear what God has prepared for them that love Him) and then righteousness returns through this judgment, ( of the prince of this world too, which was satan cast out of Heaven) and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Moses was faithful in all Gods house.

Now consider Jesus Christ, who is counted of more worthy glory than Moses, as the house that is built, was built by Jesus Christ. Moses was faithful for a testimony of those things that will be spoken after, which is Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are, holding fast the hope firm unto the end. ( we are saved by the hope of Christ alone and not by law or the law of Moses at all)...

Numbers 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

God was grieved with Israel then, they enter not into Gods rest. Their erring in their heart, was inability to know the ways of the Lord.....

Hebrews 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

Psalm 95:10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked ( Jesus came to feed the fat sheep with judgment) and that is why they forsook God and lightly esteem the Rock of salvation.

God choose Levi out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest, but they kicked at the Lords sacrifice and His offering, wherefore the Lord said indeed that the house of Levi should walk before God for ever, but now the Lord said, be it far from Him, for them that honour Him, He will honour, and they that despise Him, shall be lightly esteemed.

God tells of the faithful Priest that he will raise up, ( from the dead) to do according to all that is in the Lords heart ( the Son alone knows the Father and His ways) and this is the sure house built ande walks before His anointed for ever..

Deuteronomy 32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

1 Samuel 2:28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

1 Samuel 2:35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Soy: "Our salvation is from sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4), so obedience to God's law is the way to be clothed with righteousness and salvation. Jesus set a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to God's law, and in Matthew 11:28-30, he was inviting people to learn from him, not inviting people to refuse to follow his example."

Salvation is being saved from sins, by giving knowledge of salvation by the remission of our sins, throgh the mercy ( grace) of God by Jesus Christ coming in the flesh and visiting us. Giving light to us who sit in darkness, to guide our feet to the way of peace.

Teaching of the law is sin, what is nof of faith is sin and death.

Jesus Christ has made us free from the law of sin and death.

The strength of sin is the law.

The law is not of faith.

No man is justified by the law, the just shall live by faith.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Then the blessing of Abraham comes on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ to receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The Spirit is received not by the works of the law, but by the hearing of faith..

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Soy: "By saying that we would find rest for our souls, he was referencing Jeremiah 6:16-19, where God's law is described as the good way where we will find rest for our souls. In Hebrews 8:10, the New Covenant still involves following God's law. We should live in a way that testifies about God's eternal rest by keeping the Sabbath holy."

Israel had to remove the foreskin of their heart, which they could not ( and can not) as nobody can ass this is solely through the circumcision of Christ ( which requires the Son to reveal the Father or nobody knows the Lord and His ways without that love of God and His Spirit graced unto us) so in Jeremiah the answer is they will not hear. Then Israel rejected the Lord, and this is the Lord telling how Israel ( and the world of evil doers) is rejected from the Lord..

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

The new covenant is new, it is not the old covenant. Now on top of nobody teaching us, ( as God revealed to anyone is how they are taught) no sabbath keeping can be taught too, as it is not of FAITH, BUT IS OF WORKS, THE LETTER AND DEATH.

Hebrews 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Soy: " The topic of Romans 14 is in regard to how to handle disputable matters of opinion, so nothing in the chapter should be interpreted as speaking against the commands of God."

All that Apostle Paul writes to us, are the commandments of the Lord, unless specifically stated otherwise...

1 Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Romans 14 also speaks of the Kingdom of God, ( nobody enters it without faith and through the faith of Jesus Christ we keep the Lords righteous ways) which is not set laws, but it is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, to serve Christ acceptably to God, and to not destroy the work of God ( God did all work of creation through faith not by the letter of the law that killeth as men do all things now)

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

In 1 Timothy 4:1, Paul described what he was speaking about as being the doctrine of demons, so to interpret verse 2-5 as speaking against the holy, righteous, and good commandments of God is suggesting that they are the doctrines of demons, which is blasphemy."

This is why the Messiah came to the earth, because Israel broke the everlasting covenant.

Then they are purified and refined, the sons of Levi, to offer unto the Lord in righteousness ( now only and through Christ) and Jesus did come near to us to judge the adulterers and false swearers and oppressors, all those who do not fear the Lord, and that is how the Lord does not change, He gave grace through Christ, not through Moses, go see the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for faith, AGAIN....

Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.
6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Isaiah 24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

This has proven that Israel is now not blinded, but by their own law seeking, the same as Messianic's show they support no difference, but to approach the Lord also by law, and even Christian groups, joined them to seek the Lord, by the very same way Israel did, and is Israel's destruction not sufficient to make a person think twice before they follow the same disastrous paths that fall from faith ?
