Hmmm, doesn’t sound like a very effective system if the goal is getting people to do better.
Hey, I don't make the laws...I'm just forced to follow them. And unlike human laws, spiritual laws cannot be broken. God is not mocked.....but we can try if we have time to waste.

I’m sorry, I have trouble parsing sentences sometimes…Are you suggesting that this pandemic is a “plague from God for our sins” and to try to mitigate against the SARS-CoV-2 virus is working against God’s will so we should “shut up” (do as little as possible) and take the medicine?

No. It would help to read threads from the beginning. Most replies at the end are continuations of earlier conversations..... Unless it is a reply to the original post.

It substantially reduces the risk thereof. Which is why we need everyone to get vaccinated.

This is all-or-nothing mentality is entirely missing the point of why we have and are requiring vaccines.
UNLESS the person has recovered and has natural immunity.

This "let's ignore natural immunity" insanity has got to stop.

The truth is vaccination prevents infections from being as severe and deadly. That's the truth.
That isn't the definition of a vaccine, which prevents infection. Now they have mutated the meaning to, "well, you probably won't die".

Which you were unlikely to do in the first place unless you were elderly or had co-morbidities, and well over 90% of those people did what their doctors suggested and got it.

Vaccines can be both: both a preventative measure as well lessening the impact of the disease.

It does this by way of building up antibodies in a manner less risky than the disease itself.

Nobody is ignoring this. There is lots of ongoing research on the effects of immunity after contracting COVID-19.

That said, the data I'm aware of suggests that a vaccine can still further reduce the risk of reinfection even in those who have previously contracted the disease. So it's still a good reason to get vaccinated, even if one previously contracted the virus.

Good grief. This has been going on for two years and you still don't know what the vaccines do? This from the very first few sentences from the CDC site on covid:

'The bottom line: COVID-19 vaccines protect people against severe illness, including disease caused by Delta and other variants circulating in the U.S.

COVID-19 vaccines protect people from getting infected and severely ill, and significantly reduce the likelihood of hospitalization and death.' COVID-19 Vaccination

How can you possibly not know this? Why is it that anyone who posts anything objecting to being vaccinated is so woefully informed?

Vaccine mandates have already been a thing for a long while. The main difference is they're usually done during childhood so by the time one is an adult, they are already fully vaccinated.

For example, this is page has a list of Florida's public school/daycare vaccine requirements: School Immunization Requirements | Florida Department of Health

Here's another one for Texas: Texas Minimum Vaccine Requirements for Students Grades K-12

These have been in place for a lot longer than the pandemic. That people are acting like vaccine mandates are a new thing boggles my mind.

It's not the same thing. There were some diseases that struck kids very badly and scared the people so bad that they all supported the vaccines.

We've learned a lot since then and even now recognize that the covid vaccine doesn't work like the polio vaccine etc. That's why the HPV vaccine isn't mandatory or some of the others that are out there.

The covid vaccine isn't even a real.vaccine.

HPV isn't mandatory because the religious think it will turn kids into sex crazed monsters.

So I guess we're entering the "No True Scotsman" part of the conversation?
Yes. It’s the logical progression from No True Illness to No True Pandemic…..

No we are sharing the difference between the COVID vaccine and the polio or whatever else vaccines. Since the claim is the vaccine should be mandatory like the others are, I'm simply pointing out they are not the same thing.

Really!?

I'm religious and I don't think that. By your handle you are religious and you don't believe that.
Is there a something in the vaccine that raises libido or something?
