John the Baptist.jpeg
I so look forward to meeting John the Baptist. I believe that he is a prime example for us, in these last days. He was not worldly, he dressed very simply and ate very simply. The Bible says, "John's clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey." Matthew 3:4. He lived in the wilderness, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. He was not educated by the Rabbi's, rather the Holy Spirit taught him. He spoke the TRUTH and had no fear of the spiritual leaders. His purpose in life was to prepare the people to receive Jesus at His 1st coming, as our purpose should be to prepare the people to receive Jesus at His 2nd coming. There are so many things about his life that encourage us to be separate from the world and to love God with all our heart.

What i like best of the story of John the Baptist is that his appearance in our lives lead to Jesus being revealed to us as believers. When we are told to repent then we know John the Baptist is around and Jesus is closely following after.

for first;
we repent of our sins.
And then;
We are baptised with fire meeting The King!

This is truth is also true for every sin The Word arrests us in.

Peace.

Certainly his zeal and boldness are things we should emulate
