This is what we have heard:
“For innumerable evils have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me. Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭40:12-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Would you say this verse similar to what you were going through and intend to say when you said :

“I am mindful that at one point in my journey I saw the great chasm between my righteousness and His, basically the depth of darkness in my heart was enormous. Covered by His blood - yes - but still depthless.

So it was clear that there was lightyears of difference between what holiness to which I might attain and the purity of Jesus.

Yet we want to be like Him and this desire is given and motivated by His love.

So He puts His finger on some issues and has a plan for us to be adequately prepared to honour Him in what we face in His purpose in His name.”

Actually no - I don't think you have understood at all - maybe I didn't communicate well.

Thank you for your honest opinion but I have spoken to you out of love as my brethren. May God raise you in His righteousness and strength, that you may perceive the things that He has spoken through His Spirit.
May God’s grace and peace be multiplied to you. To God be the glory through Christ Jesus. Amen.

I’ve dealt with my share of false accusations and slander. Including Christians. I battle on two fronts: natural and spiritual. I forgive and stand against it in prayer. The gravity of the situation determines my approach.

I can’t discipline them the way God can. I want Him to do it. And I see their comeuppance. The humbling, loss, misery, etc. There’s always a fallout. While they sink I rise.

Stand firm and let God handle it. :)

I have somewhat of a playbook I've developed over the years.

Firstly, don't instigate. Seek peace if at all possible. Avoid them if possible.

When that isn't possible, don't wrong the person!

If you feel the need to be merciful, try to warn them and preach the truth. Mercy goes a long way with God.

False accusation and bullying is all about control. They seek power. But it isn't theirs to take. As long as the above are being met, you've done no wrong to anybody and you've done what you can, feel free to ignore their demands. "You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men."

Sit back, mind the gospel, and watch. In extreme cases, it's like you can see them literally handing themselves over to satan, and their behavior confirms it -- even if they're using scripture to accuse you, it's as if the teachings mean nothing to themselves.

Be forewarned, I've almost been murdered doing this, and had to evade an axe wielding individual over nothing much, so please take proper precautions and watch your back. Lastly, it can take years to see the consequences. Sometimes they may learn a lesson. If so thank God for His mercy. In Jesus' case, it wasn't until A.D. 70 that, as Josephus describes, the full effect kicked in and Jerusalem imploded in violence and treachery.

Yes... I had load of false accusation from a landlord who I had been close to, enough to pray with and was a neighbour for 6 years. With the communication being destroyed I prayed for him daily for more than a year. Sadly, sometimes you just have to leave it and move on.

Praying strategically is best. In situations like that a combination of fasting and praying against demonic elements is needed. Sometimes we have to bring the wall down before we see movement. That requires a sledgehammer and prayer assistance.

You’re the general. But you don’t have to fight alone. Shore up your resources. The same applies with your dilemma. Have others stand with you in its defeat.

Given your OP, you’re dealing with a stronghold. Pray against the spirit of rejection, bitterness, root of bitterness, wrath, terminus, and lying spirits. The goal of accusation is destruction. From Satan’s perspective that’s your ministry.

Yes, that was 6 years ago and we held ground, we have selected brothers and sisters we pray with that we have joined with over 35 years. So we remain in this rural paradise retreat with much prayer and thankfullness - but it was a battle.

Firstly I react badly to false accusation unlike Jesus who could ignore it, I challenge it with some passion.

Hello Carl,

Psalm 37: 5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.

7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

:)

Yes, this is on point...

At the time I had a choice to stand up to the accusations or not.

If I didn't it would be read as a confession to an act I didn't commit.

So I faced the accuser who was a very wealthy Mediterranean Gentleman used to getting His own way.

The exchange wasn't pretty.

After this event I prayed for him every day for over 12 months.

As I read it, Jesus did not defend Himself after the decision to travel to Jerusalem and the cross.

Before that He certainly did - think the money changers.

So it seems there is a time to be quiet and a time to make a stand for truth.

Sometimes I get this right, sometimes I don't.

Thanks for your input.
