There is no scripture that says Jesus is a Sabbath. That is not biblical. According to the scriptures Jesus is the Lord and creator of the Sabbath that he made for all mankind *Mark 2:27-28. The only definition of the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment in the scriptures is that the Sabbath is the "seventh day" of creation that God commands us to keep as a holy day of rest. Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God... Your mixing up the rest we receive through believing and following God's Word with Gods "seventh day" Sabbath of the creation week that is a memorial of creation and a celebration of God as the creator of heaven and earth and one of God's 4th commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20.

It's Biblical. You just don't see it yet. It took me decades to discover that the entire Old Testament is obsolete and has been replaced. A few decades.

I am very sad you believe this myth that is not coming from the Holy Spirit, Jesus or God

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

God’s second covenant with His promises was written in the Old Testament. Jer 31:33

I would seriously rethink your statement

The Holy Spirit is the only source there is.
The written word holds no particular value.
....according to the written word anyway.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Psalm 19:1-14
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.

Romans 1:20
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Amos 5:8
He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the Lord is his name;

Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.

Psalm 8:3
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

Psalm 8:1
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

Job 38:31-32
“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children?

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Romans 10:18
But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”

Jeremiah 31:35
Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name:

Isaiah 40:5
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Jeremiah 31:31-34
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Hebrews 8:10
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 10:16
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”

2 Corinthians 3:3
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us,
written not with ink
but with the Spirit of the living God,
not on tablets of stone
but on tablets of human hearts.

Psalm 40:8
I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

The Holy Spirit is the only source there is.

The Holy Spirit is give to help obey God’s commandments John 14:15, Acts 5:32

I would reflect on this scripture because it directly contradicts your opinion

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Nothing. What time on Sundays are SDA worship gatherings usually?

I have yet to be able to find one.

We Catholics, on the other hand, like the apostles, officially gather to break bread every day, with the Saturday Sabbath intentionally set aside for a special Sabbath vigil.

I think it would be beneficial, and Biblical, if the SDA's would simply do likewise.
But they appear to reject such a vigorous, complete religious worship calendar.
Show us scripture where we are to keep Sunday holy? Or where God blessed Sunday and sanctified it? Or Sunday in Heaven will be the day we will be worshipping our Lord and Savior? Where did God deem Sunday the Holy day to Him? These would be important scripture to find because in my bible these descriptions only refers to the seventh day

Exodus 20:10, Isaiah 58:13 Genesis 2:1-3, Isaiah 66:23

For me I know I belong to Jesus whichever day great or worship on, i don't keep the day to be saved.

Just I consider it made for us to enjoy

The Sabbath was made for man. Or guinea pig, in my case!
Agree we don’t obey God’s laws to be saved but because we are saved Revelations 14:12 and obedience is how we show our love to our Creator and Savior and a fruit of our faith John 14:15, John 15:10, 1 John 5:3, Exodus 20:6

Jesus wants to save each of us and really asks very little in return considering He gave us everything. :)

I was diagnosed recently with a degenerative disorder of my tendons which normally is detected in children, but in my case was not noticed until now, that I am in my forties. Please pray for me, because the condition can also be fatal due to the risk of aneurysms or ruptures in the major blood vessels.

Praying for you. that sounds frightening .❤❤❤ My.tremors are due to a Neuro disorder. Fortumately.my case isn't progressive.

It's really a privelege.to have a day when we can just enjoy God and enjoy life free of having to meet usual obligations . I often don't answer the phone on that day unless instant to.

There seems to be a logical problem here. o_O

Logically one is allowed to argue using a value system that is held by the other party.

Like "If you believe the Bible is God's word....there here is what it says to support my position."

The big problem is that some statements in scripture would be rejected by Bereans who checked the existing scripture for support before embracing New Testament letters.

Taken out of context, by itself alone, it means that you are personally, eternally lost and cannot be saved. You might demur, but the fact is that you have willfully and intentionally broken God's commandments in thought, if not word and deed.

Here you go......

Hebrews 10:26-31
26, FOR IF WE SIN WILLFULLY AFTER WE RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, THERE REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS,
27, BUT A FEARFUL LOOKING FORWARD FOR OF JUDGEMENT AND FIERY INDIGNATION, WHICH SHALL DEVOUR THE ADVERSARIES.
28, He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29, OF HOW MUCH MORE SORER PUNISHMENT, SUPPOSE YOU, SHALL HE BE THOUGHT WORTHY, WHO HAS TRODDEN UNDER FOOT THE SON OF GOD, AND HAS COUNTED THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WITH WHICH HE WAS SANCTIFIED AN UNHOLY THING AND HAS DONE DESPITE TO THE SPIRIT OF GRACE?
30, For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31, IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD.

How does the context change the meaning of what is written in the above scriptures?

..............

SOME QUESTIONS IN REGARDS TO HEBREWS 10:26-31

Q1. Is it ok in your view to sin willfully after God gives us a knowledge of the truth of His Word?

Q2. Are those who continue in known unrepentant sin after they have been given a knowledge of the truth of Gods' Word not in danger of the judgement if they continue in known unrepentant sin?

Q3. Is it not a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God if God gives us a knowledge of the truth of His Word and we choose to reject it in order to continue living in a life of known unrepentant sin?

.................

Take Care.

This is completely correct. As I have said repeatedly, for Christians, proper observance of the Sabbath is the remembrance of God reposing in the Holy Sepulcher after His crucifixion, before He rose from the dead on Pascha (Easfer Sunday).
Trouble is this teaching is not supported by scripture and neither is it biblical.

LoveGodsWord said: And what would that be? You have only been provided God's Word. How then can Gods' Word bear false witness against Gods' Word? That does not make any sense now does it?
Your response...
Look at your own choice of words. Somehow the the knowledge that the Sinai covenant doesn't apply to gentiles, both of which Eisha and the Jerusalem council understood, translated into: "Gods' Word bear false witness against Gods' Word". It's what I call a crabs in the bucket. Where every time there's chance for a fact that shows how to escape the slavery of the bucket. Some other unrelated thought from the bottom claws and grabs it to pull it back in.
I only asked you if you have only been provided scripture how can the scriptures shared with you bear false witness to which you were accusing me of doing. So I asked you the question how then can Gods' Word bear false witness against Gods' Word when God's Word bears witness to the truth? To me that does not make any sense. That is why I asked you the question. I was seeking clarification because what you were claiming did not make sense to me.

Take Care.

Sorry dear friend but you will need to forgive me because I respectfully disagree. Claiming that Jesus is the Sabbath is not biblical at all. As posted to you earlier according to the scriptures Jesus is the Lord and creator of the Sabbath that he made for all mankind *Mark 2:27-28. The only definition of the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment in the scriptures is that the Sabbath is the "seventh day" of creation that God commands us to keep as a holy day of rest. There is no scripture anywhere in the bible that says Jesus is the Sabbath.

Take Care.

Trouble is this teaching is not supported by scripture and neither is it biblical.

It is supported by scripture and it is Biblical. @Der Alte has shown us how the fourth commandment is not binding in the formal ritualistic sense upon non-Jews, and in Christ Jesus, there is neither Jew nor Greek (Hellene, which is to say, Pagan Gentile).

But even if you disagree with that, you cannot deny that the Gospels clearly state that God reposed in a tomb on the Sabbath. He rested on the Seventh Day after remaking man in His image on Good Friday, just as He rested on the Seventh Day after making man in His image on the Sixth Day.
