Yes, we can match/exceed the previous technology.

Cameras, drones, and border patrol are not near the deterrent that the Great Wall armaments offered. The death penalty for attempting to cross is also, last I checked, not a deterrent we are willing to enforce. So while the Great Wall may have been effective, we will not use the deterrents they used to make it effective, so any wall we build will not be very effective.

Plus, cameras, drones, and border patrol can be used without a wall.

The goal of Trump's wall is to prevent an immigration crisis.

Deportation of immigrants is ideal.

If drones could be armed with giant lassos that captured illegals to deport them in a humanitarian manner. That would be super cool.

Assuming that's true (which it isn't, but just for the sake of argument), that either means that he was incompetent in getting it done, or he never had the power to get it done in the first place, which would both mean that making it one of his major campaign promises was dishonest.

I prefer a person to have a job in politics. Before They becomes a president. Most people, that have jobs stay in their job field. I have no issues with a politician , being a lifer politicians. As long as they do their job.
