I've been reviewing the Shepherd of Hermas during this Sukkot. It has been quite insightful regarding the dedication that YHWH desires of us.[/QUOTE]

And God provides the dedication and ability to obey Him. He provides everything. All we need to do is believe His promises and choose Him every day.

Exodus 31:12 ¶And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.

Deuteronomy 31:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

God promised He would write His law in our hearts, and this passage of scripture is preceded by a reference to the 10 commandments in verse 10. God's law is not something distant from us. It is written right in our hearts if we allow God to write it there. That is what allows us to keep it: a miracle performed by God.
