Please share your favorite quotations.

Made by right wing conservatives.

Perhaps another thread can be made in the general politics section at a later date so that left wing quotations can be shared.

"Covfefe"

Good quote.

At some point, Trump realized the media would throw a hissy fit and overreact to everything he did.

He used that trend to gain publicity by deliberately saying outrageous things (he knew they would overreact) to like "covfefe" (coffee).

"I take no responsibility whatsoever!"
Donald Trump

My favorite quote is from FDR's inauguration.
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

Republicans boldly incite fear today and use it to exploit voters, a dangerous tactic.

I am conservative but I never understand why conservatives thinks these two quote are so great

“Government is not the solution to our problem government is the problem.” President Reagan said this during his 1st Inaugural Address in 1981.

Funny thing is before he said this, he spent 8 years as governor, and then ran around the country to be President for 5 years and asking people to elect him to be “ Head of the government”, and when he became head of the government, he says “government is the problem” . If you think government is the problem, why on earth you spent most of your life in the government, you should have gone to privet sector to find the solution. This is absolutely oxymoron.

The ten most dangerous words in the English language are "Hi, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help." President Reagan in 1986.

After spending almost 14 years as head of the government now the guy says government is dangerous. It’s looks like he is the one who made the government dangerous and now having a confession sessions with his priest.

In this present crisis is what he said right before the quotations, so he wasn’t against government just big government wanting a lot of authority like todays present crisis.

Not easy to change government policies if a person is merely in the private sector

that is a older quote he used on big gov, the saying was used before Reagan, Sen. Edmund D. Muskie in Feb 1976. might be farther back than that.

This may have been partially answered with the 1st image in the thread.

Thomas Sowell is referring to governments, here.

That’s amusing. Sowell, in his position at the Hoover Institute, essentially pays no price for being wrong. Ditto for all of the tv/internet/radio pundits that conservatives like to follow.

From the Reagan Dairies after removing US troops following the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon.

Reagan wrote in his dairy, "The United States must never be drawn into a war in the Middle East." Too bad George H.W. Bush and his son didn't pay attention.

Well, it's understandable. He got a huge tax cut when Trump's tax plan when through. The people who buy his music will have a large tax increase because of the law Trump got passed.

But why should he care? He's rich.

Thanks for pointing this out.
