It is not "Hell" as the English portrays it. The English concept of Hell as a place of eternal torment is not taught in Scripture. Calling any of these Hell is simply wrong and misleading. Jesus spoke of the wicked being cast into Gehenna. People think, because of this English translation, that Gehenna is some underground cavern of burning. It's not. It is a valley outside of Jerusalem. Anyone can go there today and visit. However, When Christ returns and the battle of Armageddon takes place God is going to destroy those who come to battle against Him and it is in this valley where the corpses of these men will be burned. Jesus said that the wicked would also be cast here. These bodies will burn there for quite some time. But, they will not burn forever and it is not some place inside the Earth. Imaging a valley full of dead bodies burning and it's easy to see John's metaphor of a Lake of Fire.

When Jesus taught e.g.,

• “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” Matthew 25:41

…..Jesus is quoted as using the word death 17 times in the gospels, if He intended to say eternal death, in Matt 25:46, that is what He would have said but He didn’t, He said “eternal punishment.”
….The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection, Acts of the apostles 23:8. They knew that everybody died; rich, poor, young, old, good, bad, men, women, children, infants and knew that it was permanent and often it did not involve punishment.
When Jesus taught “eternal punishment” the Sadducees would not have understood it as simply death, it would have meant something worse to them.

…..Jesus undoubtedly knew what the Jews, believed about hell. If that Jewish teaching was wrong, why didn’t Jesus tell them there was no hell, no eternal punishment etc? Why would Jesus teach “eternal punishment,” etc. to Jews who believed, "The Lord, the Almighty, will punish them on the Day of Judgment by putting fire and worms into their flesh, so that they cry out with pain unto all eternity, Judith xvi. 17" which would only encourage and reinforce their beliefs in “hell”?

Wasn't a Savior needed to be the "Remedy" for a sin-cursed world for any who would repent? (as it is written in John 3:16), thus saving any who repented from such a fate?

… heretics and the Roman oppressors go to Gehenna, and the same fate awaits the Persians, the oppressors of the Babylonian Jews (Ber. 8b). When Nebuchadnezzar descended into hell, [שאול/Sheol] all its inhabitants were afraid that he was coming to rule over them (Shab. 149a; comp. Isa. xiv. 9-10). The Book of Enoch [x. 6, xci. 9, etal] also says that it is chiefly the heathen who are to be cast into the fiery pool on the Day of Judgment (x. 6, xci. 9, et al). The school of Hillel says: . . . but as for Minim, [i.e. followers of Jesus] informers and disbelievers, who deny the Torah, or Resurrection, or separate themselves from the congregation, or who inspire their fellowmen with dread of them, or who sin and cause others to sin, as did Jeroboam the son of Nebat and his followers, they all descend to Gehenna, and are judged there from generation to generation, as it is said [Isa. lxvi. 24]:

…..Jesus is quoted as using the word death 17 times in the gospels, if He intended to say eternal death, in Matt 25:46, that is what He would have said but He didn’t, He said “eternal punishment.”
….The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection, Acts of the apostles 23:8. They knew that everybody died; rich, poor, young, old, good, bad, men, women, children, infants and knew that it was permanent and often it did not involve punishment.
When Jesus taught “eternal punishment” the Sadducees would not have understood it as simply death, it would have meant something worse to them.

The sources I quoted Jewish Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia Judaica and The Talmud are incontrovertible for what they state about the faith and practice of the ancient Jews. The validity/invalidity of those beliefs is a different discussion. Can you provide any similar sources with comparable credentials? I didn't think so.

Posting those sources doesn't tell me what Jesus said. It simply gives me the thought s of men. I said the wicked are destroyed. You said not according to Jesus. Then you posted info from your sources. Here are the words of Jesus,

2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Lk. 13:2-3 KJV)

It seems Jesus believes sinner who don't repent will perish, not burn in hell for eternity.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Jn. 3:16 KJV)

He sent His Son so that those who believe would not perish. He didn't say so they wouldn't burn in hell forever.

Now, tell me how Jesus and John are wrong and your sources are correct.
