So my dad had three seizures and is in the hospital down south. He is alcoholic and they believe that this may be the cause of it if y'all can keep him in prayer. He has had seizures off and on growing up, but he is getting older now. I have only seen/talked to him a few times in the last fifteen years if y'all can remember him in prayer.

Praying for the Lord's continued mercy for you!

He surely has. It was a bit emotional, because I had been writing out my testimony when I had got this call to tell at my church. My dad had sexually abused me and it took me years to forgive him. He still lives as an alcoholic and his nephew cares for him down south. So I've questioned the right ways to honor him and what parts of my story are right to share in helping others. I believe the story needs to get out there, but it was literally the same day I had got this call. I love my dad still very much even though I have found it best to stay away from him...but pray for me for wisdom and discernment. Because I know God can restore relationships. My question has always been how. What the best way is.

Joining you in prayer for the Lord to reveal His will toward your Dad. My Dad abandoned me at age 6 months and my Mom remarried when I was 5 so I got a Step Dad. My Mom had a 2nd child and My Dad always favored him and sometimes beat me, but never sexually. I can't even imagine the horror of that, and I pray for divine healing for you.

I am healed in Jesus name. It is just a matter of of what God leads me with this. I don't know if there is a wrong answer here.

I pray for your healing to be complete and kept. It is great that you have a heart to forgive your father. I pray for his physical and spiritual health. I pray you will be guided to what, if any, kind of relationship the Father wants you to have. I personally feel that sometimes - it all depends - it is best to keep at a distance from those who have hurt us. So often, in different ways, they try to hurt people again, sadly. There are psychologists who would agree with that position, but of course it is the Father Who is to lead.
