I heard that not all magic is from satan. And that some magic comes from God.And that if you do it right you can use magic from God.Is this all true?
Magic isn't a biblical concept, a Christian idea; magic, as a concept, comes from pagan religion, from devil worship, really. Magic has been white-washed, cleaned-up, in western fairy tales and fantasy stories (think of the Narnia Chronicles, or Tolkien's LOTR) treated as a sort of sourceless, supernatural force one can obtain, direct and magnify by various arcane means in service to one's desire.
Such power does not exist. There is only God: all power is
His power. He has infused the universe He has made with energy, with mechanical, material power, but His supernatural power, the power that raised Jesus from the dead, that instantly healed the lame, blind and sick, that parted the Red Sea, He doesn't give to us to play with as we like. We can't incant this power, by occult ritual draw it and use as we wish. That is pagan thought, not the truth God has revealed to us in His word.
The devil offers a weak counterfeit of God's supernatural power, and by doing so lures people into service to himself. They think they are gaining supernatural power - magical power - but in reality they are falling into bondage to the demonic. Satan is capable of some very extraordinary things, but he is nowhere near the equal of God. In fact, all of Satan's power has been given to him by God, and is ultimately made by God to serve His will.
This doesn't mean, though, that Satan isn't able to destroy people with his deceitful offer of "magical power." Over the centuries of human history, the devil has destroyed millions this way, luring people, in their pursuit of magical power, to terrible, terrible evil. Think of the babies sacrificed to Molech; think of the people whose beating hearts were cut out in worship of Aztec demon-gods; think of the people snatched in the dark from the streets of modern cities and butchered in Satanic rituals. This is where Satan takes people who lust for supernatural power of their own.
Other people looking for "magic," the devil mires in superstition, in obsession with crystals, sensations of the body, fairy creature mythology, "spiritual plane" experiences that trap these people in darkness and deception, blinding them to the saving truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If the devil can blind them to the Saviour, he can move them along a path of living that ends in eternal hell - destruction just as complete as any pagan human sacrifice.
So, be very careful about "magic." There is no such thing; not of the fantasy fiction sort, anyway. What power waits for the unwary, living out from under God's control, apart from His will and way, seeks to "steal, kill and destroy" the unwary.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
