No, he did not. He wrote a treatise with a Latin name that is similar to the English "retraction". I forget what exactly it was called. But the Latin word does not mean "retraction" at all. It was something of a restatement and maybe an editing of his prior works. Nothing was changed.

Judging by the reviews left for the book, that’s what it sounds like. Just a doubling down on prior errors.

I’ve heard that he did state that whatever he erred on to reject.
