Hello. I really need help with a specific sin that has been ruining my walk with christ, my faith and my life in general. I can not bring myself to stop smiling at a sertain very very bad thing that should not be funny at all. It is very shamefull so I am reluctant to tell. This has been going on for so long that I am not even sure I can feel the holy spirits convictions anymore. God has told me to stop severall times and I did two lucky times but it took alot to do it. He has stopped talking to me and he says that I'm dead which is probably because I'm deep into sin, I'm pretty sure my conscience is dead, my heart is so hard that I'm not even afraid of hell anymore and I have never gotten reborn. It should never have come to this and I should have known better because I could feel very strongly that something was wrong plus the fact that I used to read the bible a lot. I could tell more for those who doesn't believe me or doesn't think this is serious. I did so much bad that caused it to get to this point. I don't even think I should pray myself because my prayers are an abomination and insincere. Although I used to and still have asked God for help a lot but he has said no.

Perhaps you need to express sincerity in your desire for repentance. One way to accomplish this is to have a successful fast. Another way is to be dedicated in rejecting all thoughts that you discern as not being in agreement with the teachings of Jesus Christ. This takes a great deal of persistent and constant
mental effort. Or, I could be completely wrong with this advice. I'll pray that you get it sorted out and that you establish a relationship with God above.

Edit: Sin will always drive a wedge between you and God. Perhaps there is a particular sin you need to stop being a participant in, to re-establish your walk with God?

God hasn't given up on you at only 18 years old, I don't believe that to be the case but in your own mind. But it's a great age to start walking on track,in alignment with Him.

Do you believe Jesus Christ died on a cross for mankind for the forgiveness of sins and have you told Jesus this and that you are a sinner ? Have you called on the name of the Lord ( Jesus) ? My prayer for you is that is the case and if not that it will be soon, in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

Yes I have done that. Did that about a year ago and started trying the whole christian thing. Not so good at repenting but that is what I want to change.

Did you mean it from your heart ( you really wanted this) or was it just words ? Usually in that first year there is a lot of spiritual activity, you sense something. And it's typical ( we hear this a lot) where at around this year mark the Spirit ( Holy Spirit ) lets folks walk with a little less of His presence active. I see it as a test. You pass the test by not wavering but in seeking Him in prayers. You're young and new at this, don't be alarmed yet. What happens when we come to Jesus initially is salvation is secured, we are sealed by that very Holy Spirit ( you can read that in both Ephesians the first chapter and in 1 Peter the 3rd chapter especially in those early verses.) But the we go into the sanctification process, this takes a lifetime and it's a combo of things that get purged from us as we in time come to an actually hope to become more Christ like. I'm 71 years old and still being sanctified lol. And we will never other than by Jesus be perfected while in these bodies, once we leave these bodies we are present with the Lord and completely free of this flesh at that time.

You can read of the apostle Pauls own struggle with this in the book of Romans where he most describes the constant battle of our spirits being of God now but fighting that flesh daily. Remember God loves you more than you can understand, we come to where we feel unworthy because ofv this flesh nature, what some of us call the old man or the old Adam which we are still stuck living in . But I tell you truly if you called out to the Lord you eternal life destination has changed. I could go on and on, and give verse after verse on all this. Do your fast, start off with something not too difficult, maybe daily snacks or something and in that time you would have snacked pray to the Lord. But not beating yourself up rather to gain wisdom and understanding from Him. If it's really sin ( some things we just think are sin but scripture makes no mention of) by the filling of the Holy Spirit in time they just seem to get purged from our lives in this sanctification process.So it's not a matter of our work but His once we agree with Him. Amen ? Are you following me through this ?

I mean I was scared for my life so yes I wanted it. I think I had spiritual activity. I could feel convicted and I could sense when I was under spiritual attack. How do I know if I agree with God?

I'm pretty sure my conscience is dead, my heart is so hard that I'm not even afraid of hell anymore and I have never gotten reborn

the mere fact that you are concerned about these issues should tell you that you are not lost, not condemned and that you have been saved.

Talk to some of your non christian friends about sin and see how unconcerned they are.

Karin do you have OCD by chance ? Just asking because a lot of OCD folks have these concerns. Agree with God is to start walking in His precepts. We just decide. The Spirit ( HS) is very willing to help us.

The sword of the word is our weapon against the enemy, just as Jesus used it against Satan ( the bible/scripture). The more you learn in there the closer you draw to God and Him to you. And we can ask the Spirit for wisdom too. Get more pro active in your faith.

But I feel like I'm not concerned though.

The key part of your reply is " feel ".
What has that got to do with your repentance before God?

God knows not only that you are sorry, but knows far more than you just how much you are truely sorry.

No where in the bible are we told that we need 'this amount of repentance, together with so much regret and a measure of embarrassment' before God will forgive us.

1John 1:9 God is faithfull and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

May I suggeat that rather than thinking about your feelings, that you act.
That you Ask God for forgiveness only once each day and that every accusing thought you have you agree with , for we are all sinners but that you then thank and praise God for the forgiveness you already have in Jesus.

Don't look at your self or your feelings concentrte on what Jesus has done for you.

Yes but I can't ask for forgivness if I am still doing the sin. It is constant 24 hours a day.

Beloved one, consider this:
“And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You;
For You have hidden Your face from us,
And have consumed us because of our iniquities.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.

Do not be furious, O Lord,
Nor remember iniquity forever;
Indeed, please look—we all are Your people!”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:7-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved one, pray:
Lord Jesus Christ, I who calls on Your name.
Lord, I stirs myself up to take hold of You;
Lord, don’t hide Your face from me,
And don’t consumed me because of my iniquities.

But now, O Lord Jesus Christ,
You are my eternal Father;
I am the clay, and You my potter;
And all I am the work of Your hand.

Do not be furious, O Lord,
Nor remember iniquity forever; Indeed, please look—all I am Your people!
Amen.

Hi Karin. Please know there is nothing ever bad enough that Jesus Christ wouldn't forgive you. Also though, victory is in Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15: 54-57

54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

One promise of salvation is overcoming. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the Word of our testimony. I pray this over you in Jesus name, that you will come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, so that you can overcome the sin in your life by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection.

Salvation comes first, then victory over sin. You don't have to walk alone.

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:1-2
