““Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’

and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:45-51‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We heard our Lord asked,”Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?”

And our Lord answered,”Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.”

So what our Lord considered a faithful and wise servant WHOM HIS MASTER, WHEN HE COMES, will find so doing ?

This is what we have heard before our Lord have said In Matthew 24:55-51, He said In Matthew 24:42 :

“WATCH therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So what hour our Lord is coming, is WHEN HE COMES ; when the master comes, the master will find a faithful and wise servant so WATCHING.

As we also heard our Lord said :
“Blessed are THOSE SERVANTS WHOM THE MASTER, WHEN HE COMES, will find WATCHING. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So we heard our Lord said not just a faithful and wise servant but also those servants. As we also heard: Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give THEM food in due season?

So not just a faithful and wise servant that his master give food as one only given but also the master give food THEM food in due season as many also given.

So what do those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find WATCHING ? What do those servants WATCH ? This is what we have heard about “WATCH” in the book of Matthew:’

“WATCH therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

““Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:38‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:40‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So from we can summarize in the book of Matthew what we have heard:

for we know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Then He said to us that His soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. That we are to stay here and watch with Him. Let us when He comes to His disciples, let us not that He finds us sleeping and as He said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?”
Let us watch and pray, lest we enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

So blessed is that faithful and wise servant whom his master, when he comes, will find watching, whom HIS MASTER master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season.

So who is mentioned as whom HIS MASTER, when HE comes, in Matthew 24:45-51‬ ‭? This is what we have heard:

“watch therefore, for you do not know what hour YOUR LORD is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Likewise, we heard:
““Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the SON OF MAN is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So whom the master, when He comes, is our Lord, the Son of Man who is coming.

Let us consider what we have heard again:

““Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made RULER OVER HIS HOUSEHOLD , to give them food in due season?

What does it mean to be made ruler over his household? What HOUSEHOLD ?

This is what we have heard:
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So His HOUSEHOLD, is household of faith.

we heard our Lord, the Son of made a faithful and wise servant, ruler over his household, but said not as rulers as many but as one, who then ? Who THEN is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made RULER over his household of faith ?

For we heard:
Know THEN that it is those OF FAITH who are the sons OF ABRAHAM. -Galatians 3:7

So we know then is a faithful and wise servant, Abraham whom his master, our Lord, the Son of Man made ruler over his household of faith, to give us, His servants food in due season.

Also we heard:
Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

How do that servant, Abraham whom his master, when he comes, will find WATCHING? This is what we have heard:

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to SEE MY DAY, and he SAW IT and was glad.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:56‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So that servant, Abraham whom his master, when he comes, will find WATCHING, for our father Abraham rejoiced to SEE the Lord’s DAY, and he SAW IT and was glad.

For we heard:
Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.-Matthew 24:47

So assuredly, our Lord say to us that He will make Abraham ruler over all His goods.

To God be all glory, power and praise. Hallelujah. Amen

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Disciples of Jesus Christ are instructed to pray daily:
"Give us this day, our daily bread".
As these words form on our lips, let these words be in our hearts:
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy
to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Beloved one, what all these things that we need to escape, that we may be counted worthy ? This is what we have heard:

"But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. -Luke 21:34

So we watched our hearts not to be weighed down with with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and pray.

beloved one, let us be counted worthy to be as faithful servants of Christ. And delight ourselves in the Lord and His commandments.

To God be all glory and praise. Amen
