You confusing the issue:
According to Heb 10:10 how were they sanctified ?
Perfected means perfected, made complete. look up the word i the original. Christs death accomplished that for those He died for.
That is my point. Christs death sanctified them He died for and perfected them forever. Nobody can undo His Death. Those He died for are secured forever unto God !Through Christ’s sacrifice. What’s your point?
Heb 10:26,27 cant cancel out Heb 10:10,14 those Christ died for are sanctified and perfected forever. Can anyone cancel out what Christ has done ?So your saying that verse 10 cancels out verses 26 & 27? No all verses are truth they don’t contradict one another. So you have to understand how both can be true not just one and ignore the other.
The verses I quoted were GOD'S answer to your incorrect conclusion about who 2 Timothy 2:12 was talking about.
So- God's answer is not enoungh for you?So what your saying is that when Paul said “we” and “us” he really meant “someone else”? What this is right here is allowing our doctrines to define the scriptures instead of allowing the scriptures to define our doctrines. Your not allowing the scriptures to teach what they actually say, instead your filtering what the scriptures actually say thru your doctrinal interpretation which is why your coming to this conclusion. When you do this the scriptures are actually taking a back seat to your doctrines because your allowing your doctrines to determine what the scriptures are saying.
So- God's answer is not enoungh for you?
So its the Fathers responsibility for them to be preserved as well as the Sons. If one departs from the Faith, its a failure on them who were responsible, the Father and the Son.Brightfame: "20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Christ prays for their preservation in the world Jn 17:15,20
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
Christ prays they will be in Glory with Him Jn 17:24
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world."
The prayer in your own quotation is for the Father to keep them from the evil.
Then, how is that spoken to be done ?
By being established by the Lord, to do the things commanded by Christ.
For God to direct our hearts into the love of God.
Yo behave orderly and to withdraw/be separate from all who walk disorderly...
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
That is why a prayer needed to be said to keep ( the sheep) from evil, because so many wolves in sheep's clothing say otherwise, that doing evil is acceptable with the Shepherd of the sheep..
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
1 Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Where do you think the fear of God comes from ? Its from God, for man by nature doesnt fear God Rom 3:18If one has the fear of God, they know the Son has this, and is this:
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
Isaiah 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
It is us fearing God ( through the Son of God, and the Spirit of the fear of the Lord in us) that makes us hold the responsibilty ( through fear) and then, the ones without fearing the Lord, claim responsibility on anyone else.
So do you believe in eternal security or not ? Just a simple yes or no please."But God in Covenant says Jer 32:40"
Yes, God in the new covenant will place His fear in the hearts of who He chooses.
Because the previous ones as testified, were not humbled, to then fear God, to then walk in His law...
Jeremiah 44:10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
That is why I keep showing the verses about humility, and what to fear, that we can be cut off...
1 Corinthians 10: 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
"So again, its Gods
responsibility to ensure the perseverance of the believer, so that the believer never departs from Him.
Thats why to deny eternal security and perseverance of the believer is an outright attack against the power of God "
I guess that's why we are set into a race, and need to run, to receive the prize and obtain.
To strive for that prize, to be temperate in all things is
necessary, to obtain the incorruptible crown.
Fighting, ( because we are placed in a war which we need to fight to win) and therefore running, by keeping our body bringing it into subjection, or being a castaway for being a hypocrite..
1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
2 Timothy 2, continues on about that striving, which is also as in 1 Timothy 1, to be a good soldier of Christ, which means we must endure, to please God who chooses us to be soldiers, and then about the striving for the masteries and the crown/reward, there will be no crown unless it is done lawfully, in the law of righteousness of Christ and His wisdom is above mans deception.
2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
There are commandment to do, and commandments to FEAR.
If somebody trains up soldiers, they did the best they could do, the preparation, now it is up to that soldier to succeed, or fail, if they are careful(fearing and humbled to remember their teaching they might win, if foolish and arrogant they will fail and die)..
Proverbs 13:13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
Luke 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
God also deprives some of fear and wisdom, which is the many on earth who think and state they are saved and only few are for finding the narrow path of the endless examples GOD GAVE US FOR ABASING OURSELVES, and EXALTING OURSELVES PROVES WE HAVE NO OBEDIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST IN US..
Job 39:16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;
17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
Proverbs 17:19 He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction.
Luke 14:10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
