the man losing his 7 mos old twins in flood is so sad!
how can these things happen?
Well, I can tend to be first ready to judge; so it can be actually easy for me to say, "Maybe the man was not living for God," or things like this. Well, that might be true, actually, and there are scriptures which clearly say you can bring horrible things on your own self by playing games about obeying God. It is not God's fault or negligence, but the fact of how people live in Satan's kingdom where much worse things are sure to happen.
Unforgiveness can maintain a person in Satan's kingdom, so the person is a magnet for things to be unforgiving about . . . because the person committed oneself to be ready to be unforgiving, and so the person is receiving awful things in honor of his or her commitment.
But . . . like I say > I can be too ready to welcome such explanations, and judge people and defend and try to protect God's reputation. And this is wrong, too.
The most positive explanation I have, now, is that God is in control and He is moving according to His number-one purpose. I now consider that this is to have many children who are conformed to the image of His Son Jesus > Romans 8:29.
And people who die can move on to this. Dying can not stop a person from going on to be completely like Jesus . . . if this is what the person has given his or her life to. And leaving this life, for such a person, is a great thing, then, if the person was ready to die well.
So, make sure you are submissive to how our Father changes us to be and love like Jesus, and be ready to die well. And do not fear death > Hebrews 2:14-15 shows how
"fear of death" is slavery to Satan, and Jesus Himself through dying on the cross has defeated Satan and will destroy the devil.
But now I think of something > there are people who can question God and in a way they are holding things against Him; and so in a way they are not forgiving God who has done nothing wrong. And what this could mean is they have been weak in their readiness to forgive humans, so that now they also can hold things against God.
So, beware of this . . . in case I am right. Make sure your forgiving is up-to-date . . . and following the example of Jesus on the cross > on the cross, right while those evil and horrible people were still busy with hating and torturing and murdering Jesus who is God's own Son, what did Jesus do?
Jesus
prayed >
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." (in Luke 23:34)
But ones live in unforgiveness which is in Satan's kingdom; and so unforgiveness can make them a magnet for things in Satan's kingdom to come against them - - so they have things to be unforgiving about and things they blame on God . . . when they could have submitted to God and obeyed how He would take care of them.
Even practically, in my opinion, a lot of disasters can be prevented, humanly. For just one example, if you have a trailer home in an area prone to tornados, you can dig a little hole under the trailer and drop in there when you hear a tornado coming; yet, it seems many people lose their lives in trailer homes, each year, because of being in their trailers when a tornado comes . . . even in the daytime when they could be awake and hear a tornado stopping by to drop in . . . and they can drop in.
And people know where floods come and could come. But they stay there.
Another thing > I noticed how in Haiti people died in their houses during that earthquake. Haiti is said to be very poor, but those houses are nice buildings, but made of stone, it seemed, in a number of cases. So, if an earthquake comes and cracks up that stone and heavy timber, it can fall on the people inside and kill and cripple people. I understand they might want stone houses so hurricanes can't blow them away; I get that. But.
Another item > ones had only a tarp to cover them, and they say the strong wind blew their tarp away. Well, as far as I know, if a hurricane is coming, you don't keep your tarp up where wind can flap and tear it away. You all get together with your backs toward the wind, with some of the tarp under you to anchor it, and you cuddle together
, and pull the loose tarp over you and then tuck it in in front under you, and wait out the wind, your bodies anchoring the tarp so you don't lose it.
God can give a person wisdom.
But ones do not submit to how our Father is able to care for us.
But do not just judge people; pray for them and do what we can to help people. But submit to God, so He is guiding us to do what He knows will work. Because there are people who are pushing their ways, while congratulating themselves about how much they are doing, or should I say they are trying to do? . . . while wasting themselves in frustration and burn-out and blaming others for not helping them.
And loving is first . . . personal caring and sharing so people can get love and your good example.
"Let all that you do be done with love." (1 Corinthians 16:14)
In God's love you will have the creativity to do what really will help. And in case anything or anyone messes with you . . . look at how Joseph used his horrible situation for God's all-loving purpose . . . not only for himself to get rescued or blessed > Genesis 37-50.
