Halo there,
I am posting this again because the last time I posted it I received no comments. This was a pitty because I am very proud of this painting. I painted it according to an orginal Icon from Maksim Sheshukov, relatively known icon painter in russia. His original Icon I will post in the next post. Only the idea with the tongue licking the eyebrow is my own. Surely my painting looks a lot different, but the original icon is much better. This is the first time I painted a realistic human face and I was not sure whether my painting is disliked here. Okay the hands I was not accurate enough but I do not care. 36x48cm or 14,2 x 18,9'' inches. Watercolour pencils. You can click on the small picture below to see it in full screen.
