Greene waves off concerns of hospital overcrowding: 'We can't live forever'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Thursday waved off concerns over hospitals exceeding capacity due to COVID-19, saying “we can’t live forever.”

During an interview with right-wing network “Real America’s Voice,” Greene claimed that the media and public health officials are over-hyping the number of people that have been hospitalized with COVID-19.

American conservatism at its finest.

If you wonder why she hasn't died of or contracted covid yet while touring around the country with a child sex trafficker , it's probably because she was fully vaccinated at the first possible moment and I'd even bet she was able to get a booster.

Wonder where that type of thinking has worked its way into the minds of people (especially believers). Everyone actually lives forever, either with God on the new earth or without God below the earth in the lake of fire.

Can't say I'm too shocked...sounds like what I would expect from someone who does CrossFit... a group which, for some reason (and I'm not sure why there's such a high level of overlap), tends to have a high correlative overlap with the "naturopathic/chiropractic/alt. medicine" community.

I actually know an owner of a CrossFit gym (I believe MTG used to actually own one as well in addition to being really into it), the girl I know buys into every shred of medical pseudoscience that's out there.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone regardless of religious or political beliefs can take her seriously or think she is in any way a good leader for our country.

Indeed, and I have no doubt that enough people in Georgia will take her seriously to keep her there.

Of course, given Georgia's voting laws, it remains to be seen if those people will be the ones at the polls or the legislature.

One thing seems certain. Our hospitals cannot sustain this overcrowding of the unvaccinated. It's almost like the unvaccinated have zero compassion for the folks whom they will soon need to save them.

It's amazing the kind of people many conservatives/Republicans will put into office if they have the right viewpoints. No offense to conservatives or Republicans, I just think MTG is a real nut.
