Do you like laugh? It’s better smile with Christ than laugh with Ha-Satan and his pranks and ruses.

• Proverbs 14:13 -> “Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of that joy is heaviness.”.

Did you already thought about the reason for which we laugh? If you pay attention carefully, you will see that what make us laugh is a misadventure that comes on someone.

Hence Solomon said:

• Ecc 2:2 -> “I said of laughter, It is madness; and of mirth, What does it do?”.

Through this we can understand why this type of amusement attract the wrath of the Creator:

• Rev 18:7,8 -> “As much as she has glorified herself and has lived in luxury, so much torment and sorrow give her. For she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and I am not a widow; and I do not see mourning at all. Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God who judges her is strong.”.
• Hab 2:15,16 -> “Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring out your wineskin, and also making him drunk, that you may look on their nakedness! You are filled with shame instead of glory; drink also, and be seen as one uncircumcised! The cup of Jehovah's right hand shall turn on you, and disgrace shall be your glory.”.

If our motivation is bad, it is better cry than laugh:

• Ecc 7:5,6 -> “It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools. For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool; this also is vanity.”.
• James 4:8,9 -> “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones. Be afflicted, and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness.”.

After all:

• Ecc 7:3 -> “Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the face the heart is made better.”.

May it be clear: one thing is the joy that comes from the Creator, in virtue of Him be happy for our sake:
• Luke 6:22,23 -> “Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall cut you off, and when they shall reproach you and shall cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven. For so their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.”.
Other thing is to be elated for worldly reasons:
• Luke 6:25 -> “Woe to you who are full! For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now! For you shall mourn and weep.”.
Finally, have a gaiety day making people relish Christ Jesus.
