I keep saying: It's a spiritual delusion.

I believe so, I believe this verse is becoming true: For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. I believe they now are in this powerful delusion.

I don't for end time stuff but what you said reminded me of this verse a lot

It's not in the Bible, but socially responsible Christians have never understood faith as protecting people from foolishness.

I believe many Churches are to blame especially the evangelical ones in nature, instead of teaching love others and help others along with belief in Christ they instead teach believe and don't worry about anything else. We are seeing the fruits of this "selfish Christianity" which teach care about you and your earthly freedoms and nothing else. This is now killing people

Testing God would be like testing your teacher …they both have the answer sheets.

But you were probably referencing something else…

KJV does not use the word test…. but some other versions do. The majority of the time it is used as tempt or tempter like after Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness and the devil tried to tempt Him …

It is used as try and prove (almost the same way) a couple of times…. when God askes his people in Malachi 3 (I think) to prove him now herewith if He would not open the windows of heaven and pour them out blessings that they would not have room enough to receive it. (I probable should quote these, but you get the gist.)

it generally seen to mean, doing things expecting god to do something for you. AKA going out there and risking your life so that god will protect you. Well with covid alone we see that just relying on god gets you killed, because part of your responsibility is to use what he's given you. If your going to be like, "Well god will protect me don't need a vaccine." then your testing god and he has no obligation to protect you.

For too many, faith has become synonymous with right-wing populism.

I always find it interesting when people use religious beliefs to justify harmful behaviors. :/
I do not use religious beliefs… Religious beliefs are made up by man.

That would be like a scientist quoting Bill Ney….and while he’s fairly intelligent, he’s not a scientist.

So, for me to believe Gods Word is harmful behavior, but for you to believe the rhetoric that the government spews out somehow shows intellectual superiority…This is a government that is letting 100’s or thousands of illegals into the US …bussing them all over the country for political purposes …untested and many of them infected if and when they are tested….that government.

The same ones who have already proved to us that they were willing to let 10’s of thousands of people die…maybe more…. by willfully and knowingly manipulating the stats…. using false information about the hydroxychloroquine…. all for the purpose to besmirch and discredit Trump….the people be dammed……….that is where you put your trust. …..And my behavior is harmful????? HOW?

If you have had the vaccine, and if it works …no need for me to be vaxxed …and if it doesn’t work ….what is the point of me taking it.

I'm referring to you claim about using "God's word". Those are religious beliefs. If you have your own private definitions of words like "religious", those are not conducive to clear communication.

(And I'm well aware of some Christians that do try to redefine words like "religion" basically for the purpose of marketing. But it doesn't help the discussion here.)

FYI, I don't live in the U.S.

If you have had the vaccine, and if it works …no need for me to be vaxxed …and if it doesn’t work ….what is the point of me taking it.

The purpose of getting the vaccine is to protect yourself and anyone you might come into contact with, especially close friends and family.

If you don't care about that, that's on you.

I was that way once and we can see it all over this forum. When someone is really into this populism it is all about me and my rights, believing conspiracy theories along the way and many, many lies and completely forgot how to help others.

You don't help your case by bringing up the long debunked hydroxychloroquine.

Further they will claim that they don't do religion, but the do religion more than any other

If you give them the authority to mandate a vaccine now, you surrender any future objection to mandatory vaccines/treatments that the governments desire to implement. Much like Americans gave the surveillance state under George Bush unlimited authority which has never really peeled back, you invite the state having more power over you in the future and controlling even more lives.

Of course, America is a highly narcissistic, individualistic culture and we have weak social institutions.

Part of what makes believing conspiracy theories possible is prioritising moral autonomy, distrust of institutional structures, etc., which is related to the individualism present.

Religion is what man thinks of God … It’s why we have so many denominations

Christianity is what God wrought through His son Jesus Christ… that is pretty easy to understand.

So basically, we can boil this down to…. I trust God and His Word …and for you that is wrong and probably stupid.

You trust government and the talking heads of Canada …and that is not for me.

As for friends and family ..some have had it, some not, and I always give a heads up to friends beforehand …so, I am not a complete jerk.

As far as being in public …. For anybody that is out there…. it’s an even playing field.

I wish you well ….stay safe

Apparently you did not know ...all that false information about it being harmful and useless ....was debunked publicly a few months ago...

My responsibility is to protect the integrity and accuracy of the written Word of God. My purpose is to proclaim the Word of God in declaration and in believing action.

I think …and I hate using words that pigeonhole people and that is not my intent….I can’t stand titles within Christianity …. But your acceptance of postmodern Christianity or the beliefs therein will not allow you to comprehend my stance on the Word of God.

And my stance can be summed up pretty much in Psalms 23:1-6 ….which is incorrectly and absurdly used at burials.

23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

When you unpack those verses …it displays a beautiful dynamic walk with the father as that of a shepherd with a flock.

You need to do some research …the stats were falsified purposely …all that was exposed and written about after January ….2021

you got a legit link for that, and falsified by who and for what purpose?

I can live with that

Let's make a deal: You don't have to take the vaccine but in return you lose the right to receive treatment in an ICU should you get Covid.

That way we all win. We don't have to waste resources on you and you potentially get to meet your maker a bit earlier.

Fine for you?
