Gone through the video quickly, in general I must say I get the impression that some texts that are crucial for the theory can be explained in other ways just as easily, and that some relations that are made are not that profound. If I'd had to make a case for this it would take me quite some time which I do not have right now. Regarding the book of Revelation itself, the video basically is only addressing chapter 20, so I really wonder how the rest of Revelation is explained in the A-Millennial concept? Could you elaborate on that? And perhaps you would like to take the time to go through my pdf and see if there is anything where you see a clear error?Yes. And it's in the video.
I won't be able to go through your pdf. I came out of millennial theology years ago and honestly exhausted by all the twists and turns. If I were to say a few things about how I came to understand differently, I asked myself:Gone through the video quickly, in general I must say I get the impression that some texts that are crucial for the theory can be explained in other ways just as easily, and that some relations that are made are not that profound. That has also been my position, and kinda still is. But as said, was challenged and this came out of it (see pdf) and I'm just curious if it can stand some scrutinyI don't think there is any way we can translate the events in Revelation into a particular time. Reading theories about it can be productive but I don't go all-in on anyone's theory
But still, only rev 20 was addressed, what about the other chapters?I won't be able to go through your pdf. I came out of millennial theology years ago and honestly exhausted by all the twists and turns. If I were to say a few things about how I came to understand differently, I asked myself:
Who is the audience, the "7 churches".
When was it written , before the destruction of Jerusalem, " must soon take place".
When did Jesus Christ of Nazareth bind Satan, after His death, resurrection and ascension.
Just a few that convinced me....
What about the other chapters? Until you accept the four rules of biblical engagment it will not fall into place. It can be a big mess. But still, only rev 20 was addressed, what about the other chapters?
That's basically what I did...What about the other chapters? Until you accept the four rules of biblical engagment it will not fall into place. It can be a big mess.

I had to wipe away Dispensationalism in order to get to this view. This lens is very tough to break away from unfortunately. If your open, research Amil. That's basically what I did...
But I don't see how that would fit with an A-Millennial point of view...
But what if dispensationalism is correct after all? Based on which arguments did you dispose of it?I had to wipe away Dispensationalism in order to get to this view. This lens is very tough to break away from unfortunately. If your open, research Amil.
The covetousness of geopolitical Israel was the start. I was ashamed of myself for encouraging Jews to move to Israel so that it would hasten the comming of Christ well knowing that they would build a temple for the anti- Christ and two thirds of them will die. These are all Dispensational lies. But what if dispensationalism is correct after all? Based on which arguments did you dispose of it?
I have a very long list. But what if dispensationalism is correct after all? Based on which arguments did you dispose of it?
Thank youWelcome to CF!
I don't fully see how the (secular) state of Israel is evidence that the "conclusions" of dispensationalism are not correct and therefore the worldview itself. I actually find the whole Biblical narrative quite logical when considering God has different purposes for different events throughout history, I believe His ultimate goal (simply put) is to "showcase" His Righteousness and His Grace, He will accomplish this through the life story of each and every human (both the saved and lost!) and through different approaches in His dealing with mankind. The covetousness of geopolitical Israel was the start. Oh and having to hear the debate between pre, mid, post was extremely stressful.
Please share it if you want?I have a very long list.
thank youwelcome

I fully agree that the "debates" amongst Christians can many time become quite frustrating, eschatology being extra difficult. Like I said in the introduction post, I tended to stay away from any concrete ideas about what Revelation is about...
It's only because of the challenge that I just started laying the texts next to each other as they seem to be related. I did this in an unbiased manner, like I said I used to be pre trib because it was clear to me that God was not going to pour out His Judgement on the believers. Putting the texts next to each other showed me that the the time of the great tribulation (the seals) might not be the same of the period when God will pour out His Wratch (the trumpets and bowls), this is what led me to this timeline.
Please share it if you want?
thank youHi and welcome here.
