That was part of what's been posted, yes, but only part.

I agree.

It ought not to be, but it is. That's why I made my comment above. Some of the people arguing that Christians should continue to worship on the Sabbath have suggested that the reason for it is not just the existence of the Commandment, but in order to solidify that argument have taken the position that the New Testament doesn't matter when it comes to deciding on this issue.

Doing that simply erases any gains that the Sabbatarians might have made in the discussion and of course the Christian majority will instantly be "turned off" when that idea, being DOA, is entered into the discussion.

Ok, that also clarifies your position. I was just reading along and trying to make sense of it. Thank you.

Sabbatarians always seem to ignore the fact that the Sabbath was given to Israel and the church had no part in it at all.

In fact Nehemiah tells us that God made known the sabbath to Israel at Sinai (the time of Moses) (Nehemiah 9:13,14; Ezekiel 20:10-12). Therefore the sabbath law is not a law for all people and for all time from the creation. Rather it was a law for the nation of Israel during the period of the “Old Covenant” which began with Moses and was fulfilled and taken away at the death of Christ.

One of the problems I think is that somewhere along the way Christians started calling Sunday the sabbath. And defining that as having that day off from their job and going to church. I doubt many beyond not going to work on Sunday (if possible) cease doing labor.

Not sure if you noticed, but God says to hallow His holy day, the seventh day Sabbath is God's holy day that He commanded us to also keep holy. Exodus 20:8-11, Isaiah 58:13, Ezekiel 20:20, Ezekiel 20:12 Do you think there is going to be a separation in heaven from Jews who worship God on His holy day and everyone else who can worship God on a day when it's convenient for them?

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

Do you notice what is missing, the word Jew. Same with what Jesus said:

Mark 2:27 The sabbath was made for man

The Sabbath was made for man and man was created on the sixth day before Jews or any nationality. The next day was the first Sabbath that is the holy day to the lord thy God and do you really think Adam and Even did not keep Holy God's Sabbath in Eden? Genesis 2:1-3.

Maybe you do not understand the new covenant, but we are all one if you are of Christ. You really should not want to write yourself out of the New Covenant. God put His laws in our hearts and if you think all the laws apply except the only commandment that has the word holy in it and God said to Remember than you are missing out on the blessing the Sabbath brings and that it is a sign between God and His people. Isaiah 58:13, Ezekiel 20:20. Exodus 31:13. Are only Jews "God's People" or is it those who follow Jesus as our example who kept God's Sabbath and all of the commandments and we should too.

Who is God's Israel in the New Covenant? Reposted from @LoveGodsWord

GOD'S ISRAEL IN THE NEW COVENANT

Gentiles are now grafted in...

ROMANS 11:16-27
[16], For if the firstfruit are holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

The root represents Christ...

[17], And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree.

The Jewish and the Gentile believers are the branches grafted onto the root (Christ)...

[18], Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, you bear not the root, but the root you.
[19], You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
[20], Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not arrogant, but fear:

God's ISRAEL are all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD...

[21], For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also not spare you.
[22], Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.
[23], And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

[24], For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

[25], For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.
[26], And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

The NEW COVENANT is for both Jews and Greek, bond and free, all those who are in Christ. All in Christ are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise.

[27], For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

No more Jew or Greek, bond or free, male or female, if you are in Christ you are ISRAEL...

GALATIANS 3:28-29 [28], THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: FOR YOU ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS [29], and IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN ARE YOU ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.

God's true ISRAEL in the NEW COVENANT are not by name only but all those in Christ. Those of the FLESH (sinful human nature) are not Abrahams seed but those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God in Christ are God's ISRAEL...

ROMANS 9:6-8 [6], FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: [7], NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> [8], That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED.

God's ISRAEL are all those in CHRIST that have been given a NEW HEART according to the NEW COVENANT promise...

ROMANS 2:28-29 [28], FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: [29], BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

In the NEW COVENANT all those in Christ are are God's ISRAEL...

COLOSSIANS 3:11 [11], WHERE THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: BUT CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL.

ROMANS 10:11-13 [11], For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12], FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEW OR GREEK: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13], FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel...

EZEKIEL 36:26-27 [26], A NEW HEART WILL I GIVE YOU, AND A NEW SPIRIT WILL I PUT WITHIN YOU; AND I WILL TAKE AWAY THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH, AND GIVE YOU A HEART OF FLESH. [27], AND I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES AND YOU SHALL KEEP MY JUDGEMENTS AND DO THEM.

and again...

JEREMIAH 31:33-34 [33], BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS,AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. [34], And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Paul proclaims it here...

HEBREWS 8:10-12 [10], BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11], And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12], For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

................

The NEW COVENANT is for GOD'S ISRAEL which represent those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God’s WORD. If you are not part of GOD'S ISRAEL then you are not a part of the NEW COVENANT. Gentiles are now grafted in to God's ISRAEL (Romans 11:16-27)

ISRAEL is the name given by God to all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. God's WORD is given to all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW it by faith.

Now I do not intend any disrespect to you, however what you just posted sounds a whole lot like 7th Day teaching to me.

To most of us....... worship, is the activities of the congregation when we come together on Sunday morning. We worship through singing and the teaching of Scripture.

Fellowship
is when members of the body share life together. When the church group starts to feel like family, then we are nibbling at the fringes of true fellowship. Yet fellowship without worship and service makes for a clique, not a church.
Jesus tells us not to worship in vain obeying traditions over God's commandments Matthew 15:3-9. Something you might want to consider since there is no commandment to keep holy the first day, but there are over 170+ scriptures on the Sabbath throughout the entire bible talking about the significance of that day to God.

it is similar, because I grew up SDA and still attend the SDA church even though I don't accept EGW as a prophet. I am what you call A Seventh-day Evanglical Adventist (SEA). We agree with many of the conclusions but differ on some of the meaning and application and how get there. Now to the issue of worship. worship can be done on any day, but God does not come for a visit on any day other . He makes and appointment and visits on the sabbath. He blesses the sabbath, makes it holy no other day can claim that. God claims no other day as his own. My sabbath as it is called. and no other day is called Sign of the Eternal Father. He may bless time of assembly with his presence, but he does not bless the DAY.

Would you please post the Bible Scripture from the Word of God to validate that statement!

Same question my friend. What is the Scripture basis?

You do realize that the Scriptures say that we are indwelt with the Holy Spirit and anytime that two or more are gathered together, there He is also......Right?

Yes. HOLY. Holy does not mean to worship on Saturday or the Sabbath for that matter.

Sabbath = REST!

You posted several Scriptures but NOT A SINGLE one of them speaks to worship on Saturday.

Baptist Confession of Faith section 22
The Baptist Confession of Faith (1689)

3. Prayer, with thanksgiving, is one part of natural worship, and this God requires of all men. But to be accepted it must be made in the name of the Son, by the help of the Spirit, and according to His will. It must be made with understanding, reverence, humility, fervency, faith, love, and perseverance; and corporate prayer must be made in a known language.

4. Prayer is to be made for lawful things, and for all kinds of people who are alive now or who shall live in the future, but not for the dead, nor for those who are known to have sinned the 'sin leading to death'.
    • 5.The reading of the Scriptures, preaching and hearing the Word of God, the teaching and admonishing of one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord; as well as the administration of baptism and the Lord's Supper, are all parts of the worship of God. These are to be performed in obedience to Him, with understanding, faith, reverence and godly fear. Also to be used in a holy and reverent manner on special occasions are times of solemn humiliation, fastings, and thanksgivings.
    • 6.Under the Gospel neither prayer nor any other part of religious worship is tied to, or made more acceptable by, any place in which it is performed or towards which it is directed. God is to be worshipped everywhere in spirit and in truth, whether in private families daily, in secret by each individual, or solemnly in the public assemblies. These are not to be carelessly or wilfully neglected or forsaken, when God by His Word and providence calls us to them.
    • 7.As it is the law of nature that in general a proportion of time, by God's appointment, should be set apart for the worship of God, so He has given in His Word a positive, moral and perpetual commandment, binding upon all men, in all ages to this effect. He has particularly appointed one day in seven for a Sabbath to be kept holy for Him. From the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ this was the last day of the week, and from the resurrection of Christ it was changed to the first day of the week and called the Lord's Day. This is to be continued until the end of the world as the Christian Sabbath, the observation of the last day of the week having been abolished.
    1. 8.The Sabbath is kept holy to the Lord by those who, after the necessary preparation of their hearts and prior arranging of their common affairs, observe all day a holy rest from their own works, words and thoughts about their worldly employment and recreations, and give themselves over to the public and private acts of worship for the whole time, and to carrying out duties of necessity and mercy.

1. Notice - the statements you find there about corporate worship on Sabbath.
2. It is a full day devoted to worship and non-secular activity related to worship
3. The Sabbath commandment is still binding on all mankind
4. The Sabbath commandment as given by God in scripture is the 7th day "The seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD (YHWH) Ex 20:10

That same language is used in the "Westminster Confession of Faith"

One of the problems I think is that somewhere along the way Christians started calling Sunday the sabbath. And defining that as having that day off from their job and going to church. I doubt many beyond not going to work on Sunday (if possible) cease doing labor.

The real truth is that Worship on The Sabbath Day is never an commandment in Torah or anywhere else in The Bible.

Sunday was never ever called the Sabbath so stopping or changing the name simply does not apply.

Worship gatherings held on Sunday or any other day of the week besides The Sabbath Day are neither keeping nor breaking The Sabbath.

You can only keep The Sabbath on The Sabbath.

Sunday is NOT The Sabbath Day and never was.

Leviticus 23:3 coupled with Leviticus 23:7-8, Leviticus 23:21, Leviticus 23:35, Numbers 28:18, Numbers 28:25 make it clear the "holy convocation" is expressed in ceasing from labor resting. The sabbath is consistently called a day of rest. Changing that to a day of worship appears to be eisegesis rather than exegesis. Quite the contrary.

SABBATH AS REST AND WORSHIP ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.

Actually quoting Leviticus 23 and Numbers 28 your quoting the annual sabbaths in the Feast days. God's "seventh day" Sabbath of the 10 commandments however was included in the annual Feasts sabbaths because some of the Feasts went longer than seven day or the Feasts might start on a different day each year depending on the yearly cycle. The annual sabbaths linked to the Feast days (not the 7th day Sabbath of God's 4th commandment) were linked directly to certain Feasts and would fall on any day of the week depending on the yearly cycle. These Feast day sabbaths (not Gods 4th commandment) included for example; (1) Feast of Unleavened Bread (first and last day) *Leviticus 23:6-8 (2) Feast of Trumpets *Leviticus 23:24-25 (3) Day of Atonement *Leviticus 23:27-32 (4) Feast of Booths *Leviticus 23:34-36 (5) Feast of First Fruits *Leviticus 23:39 (6) Feast days of Holy convocation of no work (sabbaton Colossians 2:16 *Leviticus 23:7-8; 21;24; 27; 35-36.

So digressing a bit here. According to the scriptures God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments is about both rest and worship. According to the scriptures we worship God by believing and following what God's Word says. According to the scriptures sin is breaking anyone of Gods' 10 commandments and not believing and following God's Word from Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; James 2:10-11 and Romans 14:23 as the purpose of God's law (10 commandments) is to give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken according to Romans 3:20.

Gods' 4th commandment of course is one of God's 10 commandment that give us a knowledge of what sin is according to the scriptures. In contrast Sunday worship is a man-made teaching and tradition that has been handed down from the mother church (Roman Catholic Church) to Protestantism that has led many to break God's 4th commandment. It is Jesus that says if we follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not worshiping God in Matthew 15:3-9. So our belief and obedience to God's Word is directly linked to worship.

According to the scriptures God's people are in every Church living up to all the light from Gods' Word that he has revealed to them *John 10:16. God is calling us all wherever we might be out from following man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God, back to the pure Word of God. In times of ignorance God winks at and does not hold believers accountable for our sins but when God gives us a knowledge of the truth of His Word calls all men everywhere believe and follow it *Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31; James 4:17.

Jesus says that the hour is coming and now is that the true worshipers will worship God in Spirit and in truth. God is a Spirit and according to the scriptures those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth *John 4:23-24. According to the scriptures BABYLON has fallen God has calling us back to His Word saying with a loud voice saying, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters *Revelation 14:8-12.

The “seventh day” Sabbath of God’s 4th commandment is all about resting from our work and who we worship and is a sign that we as Gods people worship the only true God of creation and it is our God who saves us from our sins. *Exodus 31:17 and always has been in the scriptures from taking readings of the Word of God (see Luke 4:16) to prayer (see Acts of the Apostles 13:13) and singing hymns (Psalms 92:1) as well as keeping the day as a holy day of rest dedicated to God as the creator of heaven and earth according to 4th commandment of God's 10 commandments in Exodus 20:8-11 from Genesis 2:1-3

..................

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD

Ezekiel 46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

Psalms 92:1 A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High

Revelation 14:8 Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

According to Jesus no one worships God by following man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God in Matthew 15:3-9.

...............

So according to the scriptures both rest and worship are very much a part of God's "seventh day Sabbath of the 4th commandment and always has been.

God bless.

    • 8.The Sabbath is kept holy to the Lord by those who, after the necessary preparation of their hearts and prior arranging of their common affairs, observe all day a holy rest from their own works, words and thoughts about their worldly employment and recreations, and give themselves over to the public and private acts of worship for the whole time, and to carrying out duties of necessity and mercy.

And your point is..............?

Some of the people arguing that Christians should continue to worship on the Sabbath have suggested that the reason for it is not just the existence of the Commandment, but in order to solidify that argument have taken the position that the New Testament doesn't matter when it comes to deciding on this issue.

I have not seen sabbath keeping Christians doing that on this thread.

And your point is..............?

You posted several Scriptures but NOT A SINGLE one of them speaks to worship on Saturday.

How about this post?

the idea that nobody assembled on the Sabbath to hear those Gospel sermons "every Sabbath" but rather they just kept resting in their homes and watching the sermons over ZOOM or heard them through open windows in the house -seems a bit extreme.

Ex 16 "TOMORROW IS the Sabbath"
Ex 20:10 "The seventh day IS the Sabbath of the LORD (YHWH)"

Lev 23:3
“’There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of Sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.NIV

‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. NKJV

Acts 13:
14 But going on from Perga, they arrived at Pisidian Antioch, and on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. 15 After the reading of the Law and the Prophets the synagogue officials sent to them, saying, “Brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say it.” 16 Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said,“Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen

42 As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people kept begging that these things might be spoken to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the grace of God.
44 The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord

Acts 17:
Now when they had traveled through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2 And according to Paul’s custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and giving evidence that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.” 4 And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women.

Acts 16:
11 So putting out to sea from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and on the day following to Neapolis; 12 and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a Roman colony; and we were staying in this city for some days. 13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled.

Acts 18:
. 4 And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

Amazing how often we see "solemn assemblies" on Sabbath with Gospel preaching even in the NT

Is 66: "23 ...from one Sabbath to another, shall all mankind come to worship before me, saith the Lord." -- and Isaiah's readers knew that Sabbath is a day of worship as Lev 23:2-3 had already stated.

Nehemiah 8:2
2 Then Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly of men, women and all who could listen with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
8 They read from the book, from the law of Elohim, translating to give the sense so that they understood the reading.
3 And he read from it before the public square which was in front of the Water Gate, from early morning until midday, in the presence of men and women, those who could understand; and all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.

The New Covenant explained thanks to @LoveGodsWord

God's WORD is given to all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW it by faith.

.

Hi Sis, those scriptures are more about who Gods' Israel is under the new covenant. More scriptures on the topic found here linked

Why is the Sabbath important and a prominent fixture in SDA teaching?
  • The Three Angels' Messages (Revelation 14:6-12)
    • First Angel's Message—Worship God
      • Revelation 14:6-7 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
    • Second Angel's Message—Babylon is Fallen
      • Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
    • Third Angel's Message—False Worship and the Mark of the Beast
      • Revelation 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Just what does the Three Angels' Messages have to do with the Sabbath?

The first angel's message:

Revelation 14:6 ...and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The Sabbath commandment:

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Further, the Sabbath is a sign:

Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

We are grafted in to Israel, thus we are also the Israel spoken of as observing the Sabbath for ever. We will be obeying the Sabbath in heaven.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
Conclusion
The Three Angels' Messages point to the Sabbath as the key worship issue that determines whether you receive the mark of the beast or the Seal of God. Indeed, as per the above colored text, the Sabbath is linked as the sign and seal of the living God. All who are grafted into Israel are indeed to keep the Sabbath.

Why is it so prominent in the SDA message? Because the Three Angels' Messages are urgent and are meant for these end times and should be preached, as per Revelation 14:6.

I grew up in the SDA church, so I've attended multiple SDA churches for a good part of my life. The Sabbath was not a weekly sermon, in my experience. However, the urgency of the message is readily apparent in the above.

Thank you, this is a very good explanation in why God's 4th commandment Sabbath will be a test coming to everyone in our world why it is a prominent message. God says "REMEMBER" in Exodus 2:8-11 while the whole world has forgotten and it is a sign and seal of the living God to all those who believe and follow God's Word. Though like yourself I have never heard this as a weekly service so do not agree with the OP.

God bless.

God bless.

Sabbatarian says Isaiah 66 is proof that Christians will observe Sabbath now, and in the new heaven. Does Isaiah 66 teach that Christians should observe the Sabbath?

If Isa 66:23 teaches that we will keep the Jewish Sabbath in heaven, then it also teaches we will keep the Jewish New Moon festival in heaven! “And it shall be from new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all mankind will come to bow down before Me, says the Lord” Isa 66:23.

Sabbatarians have the Jewish new moon festival observances in heaven based on the above text! If they insist on Sabbath observances based on Isaiah 66, they also need to observe new moons NOW. But most Sabbatarian’s don’t observe new moons. That’s inconsistent! Are New moons and Sabbath keeping a requirement for Christians based on the New Covenant terms? No.

Col. 2:16 ‘Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day’’

Ezekiel 46:3 is the very same thing!

Psalms 92:1 is both a Psalm and a Song, full of equal measures of solemnity and joy; and it was intended to be sung upon the day of rest. nothing there to suggest a day of worship on a Saturday.

Revelation 14:8 has nothing to do whatsoever with the doctrines of the church. Nothing there at all about Saturday worship.
