Not up to anyone to convince you. You are the one who has to believe... and not through the use of others brainwashing or manipulation. It all depends on whether you think it is about you or about God. Is it about your salvation or His Kingdom/governance? Only one of the two is of prime importance.

I want to believe I am going home.

If a person believes That Jesus is the promised Messiah from the prophecies in The Tanakh and trust in the Messiah for god's free gift of Eternal Life they have Eternal Life never to lose it.

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

If you can not believe Jesus (God's greatest prophet) then you will not believe anyone else.

Faith is in the unknown. The world around us and the evils that men do on a daily basis to each other and in governing the world is blatantly obvious.. Nothing there to have faith in is there. It is built upon self interest and self justification for whatever we chose to call good or evil.

It is self oriented yet God says to love all as self. In others words, He is all about others. Your choice is which is the better system, man's oppression or God's freedom. The will of man or the will of God. The choice should be clear and is not hidden so we should be able to stand strong in which we chose. If you believe God's way it the right way, then you need no faith. You are already on the team.

Which side, man or God, do you believe in (have faith in) to be the better system?

Luke 16: 15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. 16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

It would be nice if Faith could be delivered to a person's heart via a paragraph to be read or a message to have heard... while this is certainly possible, it is often the case that it comes from a sincere desire for communion translated into sincere efforts to seek further Truth in one's heart on an ongoing basis.

Faith is not something that I arrive at, and then I am good forevermore... it takes ongoing effort, seeking, practice, and refinement... and it grows the same as the person's mind and soul do, in time, with practice, and through sincere effort.

But you participating in this discussion is precisely such an effort. :) so keep at it.

Would you agree that in doing so you move further away from the ways and will of man and start to see the ways of man as being backwards to the will of God? You repent of self interest/satisfaction and become more interested in loving all as self, no longer seeking gain at other's expense?

Yes, wholeheartedly.

Luk 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
Luk 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Luk 17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
Luk 17:8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Luk 17:9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Luk 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

One might see from the response in Luke to the request for more faith, that faith is something we do as opposed to something done for us.

Paul writes that he has a satisfactory level of faith;

2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Paul's faith seems to be associated with his knowledge of Jesus. This might point the way to a stronger faith.

2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
