As I understand it, according to Orthodoxy we will. This is an Orthodox depiction of Jesus taking Adam and Eve to heaven.

Abel knew how to offer a sacrifice that was pleasing to God.
I suspect that he learned that from his parents.

A personification of Satan/death/hades, surrounded by broken locks and keys. The "X" Jesus is standing on are the thrown down gates of hell.

I was about to post another version of that same icon! It's one of my favorite images, and I have it on a table near where I'm sitting now. Note that Jesus is holding Adam and Eve's wrists, not their hands. It's Jesus who's doing the work here.

If I go to a funeral of pretty much any person, at all, it seems I will hear that the person is in Heaven, and "God's servant". Jesus has said few there be that find the way; but most of the time people seem to wish anybody who has died into Heaven.

Ones say the LORD shed blood to get animal skins to cover Adam and Eve, and this means they repented and got saved.

And, yes, how could Abel know of the LORD and the right sacrifice to make, if his parents didn't tell him?

But it is through Adam that sin entered into the world.

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—" (Romans 5:12)

Adam is the one through whom sin got into the world, and death > for everyone . . . with many going to hell because of this. This is not a thing done by a Heaven-bound person . . . while Jesus our way of salvation is the one Man through whom ones are saved >

"But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many." (Romans 5:15)

So, in me I can feel a desire for Adam to be condemned, but this is not good. So, the word of God does not directly say . . . possibly in order to expose the thoughts and intents of my heart, and so I may be confronted and corrected to have compassion. Yes, have compassion, but not wishfulness.

Ones can have their wishfulness after someone has died . . . when God wants us to minister salvation and minister for each other to be conformed to the image of Jesus. So, I do not advise that we be wishful, instead of ministering salvation and being perfected in Christ!!

I am interested in your take on the salvation of the first couple or otherwise...

Reasons for your answer would be appreciated.
There are no signs of repentance from either Adam or Eve. As a matter of fact, they hid themselves from God and I think it was more than being naked. That being said, who knows their hearts? Maybe only one of them made it to Paradise. Probably Eve since Adam threw her under the bus. Blessings.

My belief is that they finally learned the lesson we all need to learn, that we really need God after all. I'd bet He got them turned around to where they needed to be.

Thoughtful responses thanks...

So we have no problem with the Blood of Jesus being retroactive through time and that they could have imputed righteousness by faith?

Personally I view the Cross as a timeless event anchored in history.

Yet Abraham is the father of all who have faith - does this mean no salvation pre-Abraham? I don't think so, I think 'Father' in this case is more meaning a leader in faith or an example in faith.

Just to be clear I don't see this matter as a support for 'Universalism' the choosing of God is a clear theme throughout scripture.

Adam and his family offered sacrifices to God. I also tend to believe that they were still in regular vocal communication with God post-fall as Cain's response to God asking him where his brother was, was so nonchalant. Every other time I can think of in the Bible that God communicated vocally with man, it was almost like they couldn't bear to hear it and would "fall down as if dead". I believe that they were given specific instructions on sacrifices and offerings to God like God gave Moses, therefore, yes, I do believe Adam, Eve, Able and Seth are all, for lack of a better term, saved.

But don’t you think he could’ve finally come around to repentance at some later date?

God was very spacific regarding the consequences and punishment regarding the sin they committed. And there wasn't even a hint of hell in all of it. Also considering Eve said she gave birth with the help of the Lord, I see no indication they abandoned God, or that God had abandoned them.

Should this not be an easy answer? Yes cast out of the Garden yet God still talked with them... they had children they knew GOD had blessed them with. The simple fact did not GOD know what Satan was about to do? Yet He said nothing but don't eat of this tree or you will die. Not cast out into darkness never to be seen again lol. Far as I know since its not written they had no clue what SIN was. God had a plan from the start.. theres a reason to all this.. we can't see it yet.. so YES they will be there and far more then we ever thought would be there PRAISE GOD.. I believe

Yes, I believed they asked God for forgiveness, they saw what their decision did to the whole world--to all their children and it must have broken their hearts. nothing in the bible says they did---however, Adam, throughout the bible, esp the NT is called the Son of God in every genealogy.

Yes, I think there are good reasons to believe that Adam and Eve were saved because they were convicted of their sin, clothed, and given the Gospel promise of Christ — this is what we call the Protoeuangelion.

We see evidence of Adam and Eve hoping and trusting in God’s promise of salvation in that they believed their first son, Cain, to be the Messiah — that is what his name indicates and also Eve’s expression: “I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.” In other words, Adam and Eve seemed to eagerly expect restoration and believe that this was the fulfilment of God’s earlier promise of that the Saviour would be born of a woman. This makes the sin of Cain even more distressing! And we also know that Adam and Eve raised their children to know the Lord in that they offered sacrifices to Him.
