Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone out there would like to pray for me?

I've been struggling recently with extreme depression and anxiety, as well as rage issues.

My current living situation and environment has been emotionally stressful for quite a long time, and I quite frankly, most days I feel I am being pushed beyond the brink of insanity.

I've been considering attending an Eastern Orthodoxy liturgy lately, but due to my crippling social anxiety, and semi-agoraphobia, most days I have to literally muster the courage to even step outside the door to go the mailbox, let alone to step foot into a church whose culture and people I have never experienced before in my life.

I always regret over-sharing about myself at all, but I'm a bit desperate.

Abba Yah please Breathe Your Holy Breath deeply into our lives and raise us up into the heavenly places in Yahshua ha Mashiach, and empower us to use the talents, gifts, and abilities You have given us, to edify one another and to accomplish the good works You have prepared for us. Amen.

Yah bless you and shalom.

I hope you don’t feel uncomfortable to share here. There are many people here who have expressed similar issues to yours. And anyway all issues are important to the Lord.

I pray you will be given guidance and insight and healing and freedom from your torment.

You are in desperate need of the light and life of Jesus in your life. Im talking about the real supernatural power of Jesus that will change the state of your mind from one of darkness to joy and peace and hope and strength. And then will also begin to change your body slowly but surely and heal it from all of the physiological problems that all the darkness over your life has caused. We can pray for you and it can make an impact especially short term but long term there are a lot of things that you can do as well that will also make massive changes to your life over time.

To begin with I would say you need to go to Jesus for help. The church can sometimes help you a little or sometimes more than a little. But only a real relationship with Jesus can actually transform your life.

Just get on your knees somewhere alone and confess whatever sin is in your past, ask Him to forgive you and then tell Him your current situation and all your problems and ask Him to deliver you from it all. If you do this with faith you will receive immediate peace and strength in knowing that He has begun to do what you have asked.

If you cant do this for whatever reason then dont worry about it. Just move on to step 2.

Step 2 is this. Start filling your mind with Gods word. The bible is a supernatural book. The truth written in it actually has supernatural power to change you for the better as you read it or listen to it.
I would recommend that you download an audio bible app (I use youversion and esv). And then just start listen to the scriptures. If you dont read the bible I would recommend you start by reading through the book of John. If you have already read John then I would recommend you start listening to Ephesians 1-3, John chapter 1. John 6:26 through the end of the chapter. And John chapters 14 15 16 and 17. Just start listening to those 4 sections of the bible over and over again. 20 times a day if you want to. Those passages are the heart of the Gospel. And listening to them over and over will not only take your mind off of your problems or fears. But it will create within you the faith that will free you from your fears. And not only free you from your fears but give you joy and strength you need to be able to pray. Because you need to pray. You are fighting a spiritual battle. There are things in the physical you can do to help your situation but if you do not fight in the spiritual realm as well you wont be able to make much progress in the long run.

There is a lot more to say but not knowing anything about you other than what you mentioned I think I will leave it there. Message me if you would like me to try to help you with any other questions you might have.

Long term you need to look into finding "deliverance". Listen to Derek Prince on the subject to learn more.

Praying**

Father free this person who is crying out for help. Set them on the path to freedom and healing and light and life in You. Jesus help them to truly give You there life if they have not yet done so. And then help them to overcome all the difficulties they are facing and live a good and fruitful life for Your glory. In Jesus Name.

Thank you for your advice, and your prayer! I've done these things. Probably not as much as I should. Recently it has been difficult to come to Christ in prayer if I've sinned gravely in speech or action, and I don't want to pray with anger in my heart. I suffer a lot from spiritual apathy as well.

In the beginning (back in 2019), when I first began exercising the Christian life, attempting to remove sin, trying to be a better person, praying more, watching videos on theology, I was zealous.

After I got baptized shortly after, it was like a total decline in attitude and my mental state. And the conflicts in my home became much worse, actually completely unbearable. Literally all day, every single day, there is temptation to anger, wrath, cursing.

I'm trying to have my heart in the right place to begin a fast for spiritual breakthrough.

But yeah, Derek Prince is great. I have watched many of his clips in the past.

Edit: I'm going to read through the book of John now, actually, and try to meditate on some scriptures since I finally have the solitude to do so.

The Lord is with you, stand strong. When we are at our weakest, His strength is there for us. Praying for you.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Edit: I'm going to read through the book of John now, actually, and try to meditate on some scriptures since I finally have the solitude to do so.

Those scriptures I quoted are all about the love of Christ for us. And 1 John says perfect love casts out fear. And I have found that listening to those passages over and over does just that for me. Casts out fear. Also meditating on the promises of God not only to bless us in the afterlife but here in this life as well. Start by meditating on psalm 103 for this. The whole psalm is a treatise on the earthly blessing God gives those who seek Him. Scriptures like this will also drive away discouraging thoughts and fears but you have to actually believe them and keep them in your mind and not just read them once and then forget them.

Do not let anything keep you from prayer. The times when you feel sinful are the times you MOST NEED to be before God asking for grace and mercy. Read Luke 18:9-14 and you will never have this problem again.

God can uphold you and give you the grace you need to move forward no matter what your living situation is. But I have found that living with or at the very least spending a lot of time with a godly healthy christian family is a MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE help in maintaining a healthy emotional state. It is much much better than being alone.

I would encourage you to be less concerned with what the denomination of the church is and look more for how much of the love of Christ is in the hearts of the people. My advise would be to contact the leadership of several churches. Tell them your situation and ask them to help you find a good family you can spend time with. Emailing them would probably be the fastest way. Probably 1 out of 10 will actually make a concerted effort to help you and that 1 is probably the place you should go.

Hope it helps brother. Its a dark world out there but the power of Jesus is plenty strong enough to pull us through whatever trials we are facing. Again message me if you ever want and I will help if I can.
