Canada’s 2nd dose vaccinations surpass U.S. as Americans grapple with COVID-19 surge - National | Globalnews.ca

The percentage of Canadians who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 has for the first time surpassed the United States.

70c8fc80
As of the afternoon of July 17, Canada had vaccinated 48.64 per cent of the population with two doses, according to COVID Tracker Canada. By comparison, 48.4 per cent of the American population were fully vaccinated, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported.
While Canada was originally behind the curve on vaccination rates, things have substantially ramped up in the last couple months. We're at 70% with single dose and approaching 50% with two doses.

I would say that chart shows a lack of faith not something to glorify just my point no vaccine for myself unless forced.
I would say your post shows a lack of good sense, not something to be proud of. Just my point that faith can, as in this case, lead to decisions that threaten your fellow humans.

But has Canadians received the third shot?

So if Satan took you to the highest point of the Temple like he did with Jesus and told you to jump, you’d do it since you have faith in God?

I don't think this data is necessarily a reflection on the countries themselves in terms of vaccine rollout strategies, as much as it is with the people living in them (with regards to US vs. Canada)

The US federal government did a great job of securing doses as they became available, and most states did a great job of setting up vaccination clinics and offering incentives. It's just that we have a large contingent in this country dead set on opposing vaccinations for political or conspiracy reasons (or reasons pertaining to potential side effects that are statistically illogical)

Just about every pharmacy has enough supply to be able to offer walk-in vaccination, and our supply has exceeded demand for the past few months now... as where I've heard some not-so-great things with regards to the way Canada handled their rollout initially, as there were a lot of people who wanted one, but couldn't get one. We have the opposite problem.

If we could combine the elements US's supply chain and vaccination systems & logistics, with the Canadian public's willingness to do the rational and pragmatic thing, we'd have reached herd immunity by now.

"Atta boy, Canada!"

(Just wondering - is there a point to this thread?)

It's (positive) news about Canada.

And as someone who lives here, I'm happy my country is moving in the right direction with vaccinations.

By refusing the vaccine all you are doing so you are putting yourself and fellow humans at greater risk.

If that's something you're okay with... :/

Tens of thousands who have died of Covid were Christians.
Tens of thousands of those who have died were infected by individuals, some of them Christians, who refused to be vaccinated.

Verse 7 suggests you are not troubled by ten thousand dying around you because you will be untouched. That rather confirms my point: your behaviour in relation to the vaccine is ill informed and selfish.

Do I mourn for them yes can I control anyone else destiny no that is why I hold firm to my beliefs as scriptures says:

Matthew 7:21 (NLT)
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

Have you ever considered that God's way of 'protecting you from a deadly disease' is by providing you with access to a vaccine?

I do not believe that God would provide a vaccine that causes death and illness NO

The US federal government did a great job of securing doses as they became available, and most states did a great job of setting up vaccination clinics and offering incentives. It's just that we have a large contingent in this country dead set on opposing vaccinations for political or conspiracy reasons (or reasons pertaining to potentially side effects that are statistically illogical)

I'm vaccinated myself, but our country also made things political. Then created loads of doubt towards the vaccine - than against those that wouldn't take it, and then use politics again to attempt to explain the two extreme POV they made. lol then wondered WHY things got this messy. That's why I think the whole thing is illogical.

I mean there are people that had covid, and medically speaking will have the antibodies...and people want them vaccinated anyway. There is no real discussion over that portion. It's like asking people that had chicken pox to get the vaccine against it...just in case and to make others feel better. Chicken pox isn't anything like covid I realize, but it does show how stupid things became...and its of our own making. Yet, no one wants to go there. It's really dumb.

There will always be the group of anti vaxxers, and we have enabled that attitude. It was okay. They denied themselves vaccines for other deathly things, and also denied their children of this as well. There are always medical reason why certain vaccines aren't given to certain individuals, and I'm NOT talking about that. I don't agree with them, except for medical reasons myself. Yet, we as a country enabled that attitude (anti vaxxers) with a positive until now for the most part. Heck, even schools enabled them to have their beliefs.

Remember we had a large contingent of this country dead set on opposing any progress/vaccinations that a certain administration made. It was dangerous, and how it shouldn't be taken seriously then. Then politicians waffled back and forth - as did the changing administration. Their 'conspiracy' reasons didn't help either.

This is a mess of our making IMO.

Canada has some pretty nasty showdown circumstances that we don't deal with now - and they continue on with it. I'm glad they are vaccinated - more or less than us it doesn't matter. Competition isn't the name of the game here - saving life is. Every country is going to have their own dynamics. I think once we have the vaccine approved on more than an Emergency Use Authorization? I'm hoping things will calm down. Our media isn't making things any better either. They bounced that ball for and against things just as badly as the 'alleged' leadership of this country. It's a sad state of affairs.
