Matthew 26:32. But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.

Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected outside Jerusalem, but He told His
disciples to meet Him in Galilee.

Matthew 28:
5
But the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know
that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He
is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.
8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring
His disciples word.

Why do you think they were to meet again in Galilee, and where in Galilee?
Is there significance to that particular place in Galilee?

had appointed for them.

Luke 6:
12
Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray,
and continued all night in prayer to God.
13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose
twelve whom He also named apostles.
After coming down with them to the plain and ministering to the crowds, they return
to hear Luke's account of "the sermon on the mount".
Would not this be the mount that He had "appointed for them", where they went
to meet with the Lord after the resurrection?

My question about that mountain in Galilee has to do with logistics... it's a long way to go from sunup to sundown, right? Something like 50 miles across the mountains, on foot. It's not quite as bad as Mary on a donkey and very pregnant... but still...

Now, if it were Bethlehem of Galilee, I could make a guess as to which mountain.

I haven't researched to see if anyone has ever even speculated on where "the sermon on the
mount took place". Many of the apostles were Galileans, so no doubt a familiar landmark for
them. I have no clue at this time. Just know that was the rendezvous point post resurrection.
I wonder what it means by "the mount appointed to them". If anyone had authority to give away
a mountain, I guess it was Jesus.

I am assuming that Jesus meant for them to go to a mountain they'd been to before. The mount of transfiguration seems to have been Mount Hermon, 105 miles from Jerusalem. This would get my vote for the place of appointment.

John 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
John 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

The mount of transfiguration seems to have been Mount Hermon,
Mount Hermon | mountain, Lebanon-Syria

Seems a bit far to the north in Lebanon. Mentioned in a favorite Psalm though.
Psalm 133:
1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
H2768 - ḥermôn - Strong's Hebrew Lexicon (kjv)
Could mean "sanctuary", or "place of dedication", which is nice.
Normally snow capped and inspiring to view.
Jesus told the disciples to meet Him in Galilee, so I will continue to seek options
in that geographical area.
