The only Star Trek I like is TNG and DS9, and I prefer TNG to DS9. They were the ones I watched as a kid and had the toys for. I haven't really watched Trek since I tried watching Voyager and immediately got bored with it because it somehow seemed hokey compared to the previous two.

I don't watch TV though anymore. Or Movies that aren't documentaries. TV is too trashy and every show is loaded down with "woke" nonsense. I spend most of my time listening to music and reading, but I'm really into the Adam Curtis documentaries that he did for BBC. They're woke in a completely different way, the real way that lets you know what the government is doing behind the scenes and without the propaganda being spewed by the fake news media.

Cellulite and yoga pants should be considered incompatible.

I'll take it further than that: It doesn't matter if you're going to Walmart, you shouldn't go out in pajama bottoms, slippers, and a stained t-shirt with your hair up. I get so sick of seeing that, but people actually go out around town like that around here.

I actually forgot about that. I don't know about Star Trek cause I never followed the franchise that closely, but I know in Stargate their hyperspace drives opens a window in subspace that the ship enters. So I think technically the ship is traveling at normal sublight speeds while in a separate layer of space (or as you put it, another dimension) thus achieving superluminal travel.

But they also have inertial dampeners like I mentioned before which offset the effects felt with acceleration like that.

Inertial dampeners are still a fantasy. You admit that you need them for hyperlight travel to be compatible with life, but how do they work, what mechanism do they use? Stargates and subspace windows are just imaginative constructions to overcome the limits of reality. Has any been observed in the material universe? If not, has a plan been developed to actually construct or obtain them? I don't think so.

Consider some simple facts

warp 9
corresponds to a speed of 900 billion kilometers per hour (= 250 million kilometers per second) or about 830 times the speed of light.

Proxima Centauri is the next closest star to the sun, and it is 4.3 light years away. That means that it would take about 1570 days to reach Proxima Centauri at light speed, if you could reach Warp 9, you could reduce the time to about 2 days. That is just to reach Proxima Centauri. The galaxy is just too large to travel in anyway compatible with human life, or even alien life. Only spiritual beings could travel that fast, therefore alien life is a spiritual deception designed to lead our minds astray, and distract us from the truth, which is to be found in The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

That is my unpopular opinion

Grew up in a family of 11 , parents and 9 kids. We had one black and white TV, one phone and one bathroom. We watched Walter Cronkite every night whether we liked it or not.

The one bathroom part of this seems like cruel and unusual punishment.

The Satanic conspiracies are right in front of your face, they're out in the open: The molestation crisis, LGBTQ ideology, cultural Marxism, Abortion, "wokeness", etc. They enjoy the promotion of the media and elites in America and Western Europe, they are not hidden and they have proven to be infinitely more damaging to the Church and people's faith than the very real possibility of God creating other life forms in another galaxy.

The universe is big enough that other planets which contain life most certainly exist. Some sort of creatures that may not need oxygen or hydrogen, not necessarily intelligent life or life that is capable of spacefaring, but life nonetheless. We can't be arrogant enough to place limits on God's creative ability and think that in a universe this vast, Earth is the only planet that contains lifeforms on it. There could be animals out there that we've never even imagined.

American beauty standards are pretty much total garbage.

I will disagree :). Look at my beauty picture

About a year or so ago someone from Rhode Island wrote something regarding females who were heavy and wore yoga pants. They found he address and protested outside his house. LOL
Guess I'm just microagressive-need to be careful these days.

First off, Satan is not limited to one conspiracy, he is desperately trying to blind the eyes of man to the Truth in Christ. Second, I did not say that life on other planets cannot exist; maybe it can, maybe it doesn't.
My point was that if it does exist, the distances are too far for us to definitively find out, us travel there, or have them visit us. If there are beings on our planet that say that they are from another, then they are deceiving spirits. If it is arrogant to say that life definitely does not exist on other planets, then it is equally arrogant to insist that it does, because we have no way of knowing it. Your first paragraph makes my point; there is sufficient evil on this earth to deal with, rather than worrying about other planets.

The article you site is interesting, but it is only speculation. The priest mentions evolution, but fails to note that it is Catholic dogma that all humans descended from one human pair, Adam and Eve. This is the doctrine of original sin. Adam was created directly by God out of the dust of the earth and could not have been born of a lower creature. Eve was formed from Adam's side. Scientists today laugh at that proposition, but as God said to Job, "were You there when I laid the foundations of the Earth? , tell me if you have understanding." No one was there, we have God's word, the rest is speculation and vain musing.

yes its fun to watch and fun to imagine. I loved the original Star Trek, but we will never see anything like that here, but eye has not seen nor ear heard what God has in store for those that love Him. what will life be like in the next? We will have glorified bodies, and we will not be tied down by time and space. We will then be able to travel to those other worlds, and see the complete glory of God. As the Bible says, the heavens declare the glory of God. That is something worth imagining.

Yes, the historicity of Adam and Eve and the Genesis story was affirmed as dogma in the 6th Century Ecumenical (meaning presented and ratified in the ecumenical council) Epistle of St. Sophronius of Jerusalem. The English translation of which goes for about $200 (a dollar a page - outrageous) from Oxford University.

And although you can speculate or nuance all you want to try to make scientific evidence or evolutionary theory fit the revealed dogma of the Church, it's dangerous and it's how Tielhard got condemned as a heretic.

- Roger Moore was a terrible Bond

Christopher Lee would have been an amazing Bond. He was Ian Felming's cousin and the character Bond is based off of him. Since he is an actor and former intelligence agent, he would have been the perfect fit for the role.

Clip about Christopher Lee explaining to Peter Jackson what a backstabbing sounds like. Although he was in the SAO, not the OSS. He may have helped America set up the OSS though because Ian Fleming helped with that.
