See, this is the type of stuff that the bishops have been doing lately that has frustrated me. The bishops are the ones who are supposed to be holding to the truths of the church and it seems like they're just wanting to do whatever is popular and trendy in the culture, not wanting to ruffle the feathers of the liberal left wing elements in the country.

Because Biden supports abortion and homosexual "marriage", he should not be able to receive communion. Same goes for all other democrat party politicians that claim to be Catholics yet support abortion, but the Bishops won't do that because they are cowardly and because they're no doubt being leaned on by Pope Francis to be more "inclusive" and left-wing.

It's stories like these & the sexual molestation crisis that serve to undermine my faith in the Catholic church and really make me consider converting to Orthodoxy. I know, I know, that's not what people want to hear in this subforum, but it's just me being brutally honest.
Before you take steps to convert, remember that Jesus had to deal with this same situation in His day.
He confronted His synagog leaders face up, and explained to them why they were wrong when He was 12 years old, and they marveled at His knowledge.
He confronted them again during His ministry, and this time they took action against Him.
So what we are seeing in this case has happened before now, and will keep on happening until the Two Witnesses come back to Earth, to witness and testify and prophesy to the Kingship of Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
So in conclusion, we need to uphold Our Lord, His Way, His Truth, and even His very Life, no matter the cost to ourselves, but still showing respect for the office that a Bishop holds.

If we have the courage to do that, God will sustain us, and we may have a chance to put our words out there, and into the ears that need to hear them.
But please keep in mind that the reason we do this is NOT to promote ourselves, but it is done for two reasons, and those reasons only:
1. That Truth might be upheld.
2. That souls might be saved from the plans and snares of satan.

Meanwhile, wacky priests can call for same-sex unions inside the Church while the dementia patient occupying the Oval Office can wholeheartedly support abortion and those bishops have all entered the Witness Protection Program or something.

As ever, the bishops want our tithe; not our opinion.
So we will get synods on synodality. Seems designed to get deep church opinions. But can they shut us out?

This is the big problem in my diocese. The Bishop wants the contribution so he and his retinue can go to Rome every year but he does not want the laity doing anything in the church. No bible studies, nothing. Our diocese suffers as a result.

Yep, they have already shown that they have the power to keep those who believe in God's power outside of the Church.
And the cost to get back inside is to get a shot manufactured at the cost of human lives.
I don't know about everyone, but I am happy with the genes that God gave to me at my creation. Those genes were unique to me, and God was pleased with the unique way that He created me to be. I would like to keep myself that way, even if it means isolation, and doors being shut in my face.
God has a unique purpose for me in this life, the same way that He also has a unique purpose for all of His creation.
I know that there will be others who wish to be something else besides the way that they were created, but that's not me. I am happy to be God's best and still be unique, and I am also happy to discover the endless creativity and love that He expressed in my creation.

A friend of mine posted this earlier today. He is also good friends with Fr. James Altman. I thought this was profound and the most clear take on this whole Altman situation. He asked to remain nameless.

Here’s what he wrote …

Some continued thoughts and clarifications (and repeats) about my own opinion regarding my friend Fr. Altman.

Continued below.

It's nice that people still respect the bishop that suspended Fr. Altman's faculties. I do not, nor am I bound to. I believe that I know why Fr. Altman was suspended, and I believe that it's his very true comments about the democrat party that caused this, probably with pressure on the bishop in question by democrat party "leaders" and "lawmakers".

I fully believe that Joe Biden and every other democrat that supports abortion should be denied communion. There is no two ways about this with me, if I could be denied communion for driving a woman to an abortion "clinic", then Joe Biden and the rest of the democrat party hacks can be denied communion for making absolutely no effort to stop the wholesale murder of children in their mother's wombs for convenience.

So, I'm curious? Why should one convert to the Catholic faith if it seems to be so fragmented? If priests speaking truth are punished, and those trying to lead people into falsehood are praised?

And should one be a sedevacantist? Or would joining the Novus Ordo church be okay?

Why should one convert to the Catholic faith if it seems to be so fragmented?

Because it really isn't. These events that are taking place, are taking place within the church itself. The main ideas are all still there, the problem is that you're getting woke activist priests and politically-correct bishops who are being leaned on by the democrat party to call good "evil" and evil "good" so that American Catholics don't cause trouble for Washington DC's fundamentally anti-Christian agenda for America.

Someone had shared a post on here a while ago about how the CIA has been leaning on the Church since the 50s in order to make it conform to America's domestic and foreign policy goals. Reading it was quite depressing and I don't think that I'm going to actually read the full book about it.
