A few noted threads: You Vs The World : The Harder Realities : To The Seekers Out There

The promise of the defeat of Satan was made in the Garden of Eden; ending in Revelation with the defeat of Satan. Do you believe what scripture has to say about the defeat of Satan?

I believe the only enemy you have to war against is you; yourself. Everyone tries to play everything on Satan; and or the World and it's problems looking away from the self in realization of that as human beings we are all in need of help to be lifted up out of darkness, and the only one who can do it is God and through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember when Peter stepped out in faith but looked at all of the waters of the world that was going to take him under and kill him. Jesus Christ was right there to give a hand and help his friend up. This life is tough friends.

(1) Facts leading up of Satan's ultimate defeat (I personally believe it has happened)

Job 1:6 And the day is, that sons of God come in to station themselves by Jehovah, and there doth come also the Adversary in their midst.

2 Corinthians 11:14 and no wonder -- for even the Adversary doth transform himself into a messenger of light;

Revelation 9:11 and they have over them a king -- the messenger of the abyss -- a name [is] to him in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in the Greek he hath a name, Apollyon.

Revelation 20:2 and he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, who is Devil and Adversary, and did bind him a thousand years,

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years may be finished, the Adversary shall be loosed out of his prison,

The above are facts of the defeat of Satan.

(2) Facts of Jesus Christ defeating Satan

Genesis 3:14 And Jehovah God saith unto the serpent, `Because thou hast done this, cursed [art] thou above all the cattle, and above every beast of the field: on thy belly dost thou go, and dust thou dost eat, all days of thy life;

15 and enmity I put between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he doth bruise thee -- the head, and thou dost bruise him -- the heel.'

16 Unto the woman He said, `Multiplying I multiply thy sorrow and thy conception, in sorrow dost thou bear children, and toward thy husband [is] thy desire, and he doth rule over thee.'

Luke 4:13 And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from him till a convenient season.

John 12:30 Jesus answered and said, `Not because of me hath this voice come, but because of you;

31 now is a judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast forth;

32 and I, if I may be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself.'

John 14:30 I will no more talk much with you, for the ruler of this world doth come, and in me he hath nothing;

2 Thessalonians 2:8 and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence,

Hebrews 2:14 Seeing, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself also in like manner did take part of the same, that through death he might destroy him having the power of death -- that is, the devil --

1 John 3: 8 he who is doing the sin, of the devil he is, because from the beginning the devil doth sin; for this was the Son of God manifested, that he may break up the works of the devil;

Revelation 20:10 and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [are] the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night -- to the ages of the ages.

Satan has indeed been defeated .... we are just waiting for the Lord to come end the war and pick up all the survivors. Until His return there are many battles.
