So again, where does the Bible explicitly mark off a division in the law given at Sinai? Where does it segment off the 10 commandments and identify them as distinct(as opposed to representative) from the rest of the law given to Moses?

Deut 4:12 And the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice. 13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone

The Ten Commandments are the only scripture in the entire Bible that was personally handwritten by our Creator and Savior. You might not find this significant but God does which is why only the The Ten Commandments was stored inside the ark in the Most Holy of God's Temple. God's commandments our are moral obligation on how we show love to God (commandments 1-4) and how to love our neighbor (commandments 5-10) God tells us who He shows mercy to in His Ten commandments : but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:6

We are told though scripture keeping God's commandments should be our all:
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. Ecclesiastes 12:13

And it is a sign that you are one of God's saints in the last chapter of the bible right before Jesus reveals Himself in the Second Coming.

Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

While popular belief is we no longer have to keep God's Ten commandments, but that is not coming from God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. John 14:15, 1 John 5:3, John 15:10, Exodus 20:6, Acts 5:32

God bless

You seem to have missed my parenthetic. Deuteronomy 4:13 isn't separating the rest of the commands given from the 10 commandments, it is using them as representative of the whole law given at Sinai. So again, where is it explicitly taught that there is separation within the law given at Sinai?

Yes, God's Ten are a separated. God did not leave it up to anyone else to write His moral laws for us. That's why God personally wrote the Ten, on stone and only the Ten was stored inside the ark of God's Most Holy in God's Temple. Was the other laws personally written by God with His own finger? Were the other laws written on stone? Was the other laws inside the ark or outside? As you can clearly see, these are different covenants. The whole point of the Bible is to follow God. Why would anyone think what God personally wrote with His own finger, spoke with His own voice and is the only scripture in the entire bible God personally wrote, not be held to greater significance. God gives us free will and you can believe whatever you wish, but it does not change these facts.

One of the last scriptures in the bible before the Revelations of Jesus Christ:

Revelations 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

God bless

No, the 10 commandments are representative or summative. Every command given is about how Israel is to keep the 10, and so to cite the 10 is to cite the whole law. So again, where in the Bible is it taught to the contrary? Where is an explicit statement given dividing the law?

@LoveGodsWord thanks for putting this together

God's LAW was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it. (God's LAW; Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4; Exodus 20; Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 10:4 Ecc 3:14; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5)

It is called God's LAW or the 10 Commandment, because God was the one alone who made it and commanded Moses to keep in separated from the book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Neh 10:29; Deut 10:4-5; Deut 31:25-26; Deut 4:13; Ex 34:28)

God's LAW was not made by Moses it was made by God alone on two tables of stone and nothing was to be added to it and it was to be separated from the Mosaic book of the law. That is why it is referred to in the scriptures as God's LAW or the 10 commandments (not the 613).

The Mosaic law was made and written and spoken by Moses as directed by God in the book of the covenant. (Mosaic Book of the law; Deut 31:9; Ex 24:3-4; Deut 31:24-27; Col 2:14-17).

God not only commanded Moses to keep the 10 Commandments separated from the Mosaic book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Deut 10:5; 31:25-26;) nothing was to be added to it (Deut 4:1-2; Deut 5:22)

God makes a distinction between the 10 Commandments and the book of the law of Moses….

2 Kings 21:8, Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

Do we need more scripture................

GODS LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7). It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12). God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it (Matt 5:17-20 ). The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Rom 2:18-19 ). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22). The law is good if used properly (1 Tim 1:8), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Gal 3:21 ). Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit (Rom 8:4 ) through love ( Rom 13:10 ).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

Eisegeting by slapping a bunch of unrelated verses together doesn't do anything, again where is any of this explicitly taught in the Bible?

Not sure how you could have read the post you are replying to and all the scripture references in three minutes.

That's okay, the scriptures are there if you want to read them.

You are free to believe as you wish, but there is only one Gospel and one Truth. What was personally written by our Savior should be at the top of our priorities, but God does give us free will.

Would not worry too much sis. I find if many people are confronted with scripture that disagrees with their teachings the standard response is "bunch of scripture taken out of context" to try and argue what has been shared with them is not true without even showing why they believe context changes meaning to subject matter being discussed. Translation to this normally means "I am not interested in what you have to say because it goes against my teachings". Jesus and Paul had the same problem in their day in fulfillment of Isaiah 6:9-10 from Matthew 13:13-15; and Acts of the Apostles 28:25-27 and so it is today. According to John 10:26-27 Gods' sheep hear His Voice (the Word) and follow him while those who are not hear and follow because they are not His sheep. We should all (I include myself) pray we do not close our eyes and ears to hearing and seeing Gods' Word

God bless

I am familiar enough with both the abuse and the actual Scriptures to know what they teach, I don't need to rehash decontextualized snippets every time they are posted especially when it is a patent attempt to avoid a direct question for a specific instance through volume.

I believe where your post falls down here is that you are not considering who God's Israel in the new covenant? (scripture please). In the new covenant Israel is no longer those born of the flesh of the seed of Abraham but all those who are now born of the Spirit according to the promise *Romans 9:6-8; Galatians 3:28-29; Romans 2:28-29

Is not the translation of your post here simply saying, you are not interested in talking about the scriptures that have been shared with you; even though you cannot tell why you might disagree? Let's talk scripture showing why we all might agree or disagree. Detail please. Just making accusations that you cannot prove from the scriptures does not support your belief in my view neither does it prove the the context changes the meaning of topical subject matter as defined in the scriptures. If you believe context changes the meaning of subject matter provided in the scripture prove it. If you cannot your only making accusations unsupported by scripture which is a denial of Gods' Word.

This is an entirely different can of worms. If you answer the two questions on that post I'll articulate an answer, but until you forward the Scripture where an explicit division is made within the law the burden remains with you. So where is any of what has been forwarded explicitly taught?

I respectfully disagree as understanding who Gods' Israel is in the new covenant is very relevant to who Gods' promises are made to and who the word of God belongs to including Gods' covenant promises. Scripture has been provided to you but it seems you do not want to see it. (post # 45 linked). No one can see what they do not want to see according to the scriptures (Isaiah 6:9-10). Let's pray we are not in that group that close their eyes and ears to seeing and hearing God's Word. What is it that you disagree with in the linked post and why?

All of them. How many commandment are God's 10 commandments; 9; 10 or 613? (Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 4:13; Deuteronomy 10:4). It is called God's Law or the 10 Commandment, because God was the one alone who made it and commanded Moses to keep in separated from the book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Nehemiah 10:29; Deuteronomy 10:4-5; Deuteronomy 31:25-26; Deuteronomy 4:13; Exodus 34:28). The separation was made between Gods' law (ten commandments) and the Mosaic book of the law or covenant (Exodus 24:7) by God. The 10 commandments was written alone with the finger of God and was the work of God on two tables of stone and spoken directly by God alone (Exodus 31:18; Exodus 20:1-17). The other was written by Moses under God's direction in the book of the covenant (Exodus 24:7; Deuteronomy 31:24). Together both God's 10 commandments and the Mosiac book of the covenant made of the covenant God gave to Israel (old covenant). The separation of God's law written on the two tables of stone and the book of the covenant is also made by God in the placement within the ark (house) of the covenant. God's 10 commandments were placed inside the ark of the covenant underneath the mercy seat while the Mosaic book of the law was placed in the side of the Ark (Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Deuteronomy 10:4-5). God not only commanded Moses to keep the 10 Commandments separated from the Mosaic book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 10:5; 31:25-26 nothing was to be added to it (Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Deuteronomy 5:22).

Hope this is helpful.

Hope this is helpful.
Apparently you don't know what the word "explicit" means.

Apparently you do not want to see the scriptures that disagree with you. Did God separate His law written on stone from the Mosaic book of the law? Why did God write the and speak the 10 commandments not not just let Moses write and speak them in the book of the law?

Let me put it this way, where do the Scriptures say that the law is divided without needing your editorializing or any supplementary explanation on your part?

Here let me turn your argument on you. Where does the scriptures say that Gods' 10 commandments written and spoken by God alone and separated under Gods command in the Ark of the covenant as already shown through the scriptures in post # 55 linked, say that Gods' 10 commandments and the book of the law are not separate? Can you see that your argument does not make sense when the scriptures already provided show separation? You have no scripture do you.

So what you're saying is you don't have a verse to point me to?
