Wow, I am currently in Hawaii and see people doing this in public quite often and always just assumed when you have to go, you go. I would have never known that they are unholy demon possessed shells pagan humans. Now I know.

By whose standards? All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. That was the point I was trying to make, not to accuse or offend. As you say, you just never know 'til you know.
If you don’t know that peeing in someone’s hallway is not wrong, what do you think is wrong? Could she pee in your hallway too ?

How do we know a toilet was near? We don't know anything about the situation. We don't know if she was homeless. We don't know if she had a key to any apartment. We don't know if that stairway was indoors or outdoors (in Texas, most apartment stairwells are exterior to the building). You've made a bunch of assumptions about the situation that are not warranted by the information we've been given.
So it’s ok if she would come and pee your doorstep for any of these reasons and it’s OK with you?

Depends on the reason you have. Did she know no better? Do you know the full story behind her actions? Clearly no one asked. Maybe I'd handle it wrong too. The question we should all be asking is how as followers of Christ, should we handle this? Not just with what action but with what attitude? To what end? With what motivation?

Our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. We come before him with pride and arrogance and self-centred and boy, what a stench must come up before Him.

Notice I said us, not you. Our standards are not good enough, and many times we cannot even live up to the standards that we set for ourselves.

There by the grace of God go I, doing things I think are great and then bringing them before God's hallway. Does He send us away as we deserve? No, because we are covered by the blood of the Lamb, His own dear Son, which ever intercedes for us and speaks better things than the blood of Abel.

We can allow ourselves to be transformed in His presence and His Word. The problem is that compared to God, we have really short memories, and if we are not diligent, can go right back to our old ways of thinking - if it were not for His grace.

Depends on the reason.

Must be difficult to go through life never knowing right from wrong but always doubting yourself. It’s so much better and easier to have the Holy Spirit judging, correcting or affirming ones actions so you know.

Must be difficult to go through life never knowing right from wrong but always doubting yourself. It’s so much better and easier to have the Holy Spirit judging, correcting or affirming ones actions so you know.

It's called being convicted. I no longer seek to have confidence in myself, true; but in God. Take a look at how Jesus convicts those who wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery:

John 8:9-10
9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

Why would He need to do so if they were so confident in their choice to condemn? Why are we so confident of our choices? And being our 'true' and 'authentic' selves, instead of being transformed by the renewing of our minds by the Word of God? How easy is it for us to lie to ourselves about ourselves?

Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

We often think much better of ourselves than we actually are. Our confidence should not be in ourselves or our own ability to make good choices, but in God alone. His grace is what must carry us.

Romans 4:2
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.

In fact, the bible tells us the Abraham was justified by his faith in God. This kind of faith:

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

And now in the new covenant we are held to an even higher standard than Abraham:

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Do I seek to condemn you? No. Just as I do not seek to condemn the woman peeing in the hallway, as bizarre an occurrence as it may be to us:

Romans 8:1
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

This does not nullify our confidence. Instead it perfects it. That's all I'm saying.

She had taken leave of her senses, and relieved herself.

Who cleans your stairwell?

I remember my first weekend in the dorms at Virginia Tech. I grew up in a very nice family and was pretty sheltered. Saturday morning I woke up to empty pizza boxes, puke, and broken bottles strewn all over the hallway so that it was hard to walk. I walked into the bathroom to find it flooded, a cedar tree from the flowerbed shoved into a toilet that had broken free from the wall. The stairwell was a nightmare with rivers of beer, [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse], and vomit running down the stairs. It was the same every weekend except for finals week when the fire alarm would be pulled 5-8 times a night. We all just eventually ignored them.

Many people are just like animals, they don't think and they don't care. They do whatever feels good to do at the time.

I should not extrapolate much from Virginia Tech. My college dorm experience was almost entirely of clean and respectful people.

It sort of suggests that when a high school student is considering different colleges, it's not a good idea to decide on the basis of the correspondence they've received and what's in the college catalog.

Absolutely. It’s kinda like buying a house. Travel cost or not, you have to visit and check out the property in person.

I'm glad for you. Living in that dot, was a nightmare. The guy across the hall from me wrote an article for the school paper about the goings-on in our dorm. A bunch of drunks came and stood pounding on his door threatening to beat him up for writing the article. There were a bunch of Black Panthers at the other end of the hall and they came down and told them to leave or it wouldn't end well for them. They were trying to study for a test and all the noise was making it hard. They were all into martial arts and were always out in the hall practicing with nun-chucks. After the punks left, Mike came out of his room and the Black Panthers thanked him for writing the article. It seemed they were tired of the mess too. They told him they wouldn't let anybody mess with him. They took their studies seriously.
